Developer Increase Price After S&P Signed

Hi all,

Kindly advice for the below situation.

I have signed the S&P agreement late November 2012 for a landed property for a price of RM 260,000.00 and received the bind (Hasil RM10) duplicate S&P on the 19th December 2012 with the date on the S&P Cover Page 18th December 2012. My 90% bank loan approved and KWSP account 2 for the remaining 10% also approved recently.

However, this morning I received a call from the developer saying that price already changed to RM 290,000.00 and I need to top up the difference of 30k. They say because I signed the S&P late, arrange bank loan also late and few others so now price need to revise. They say if cannot then I have to cancel my house? How to cancel? Can really cancel? When I asked also answer they sighed here and there and become annoyed. I seriously dont understand this.

Is this possible seems S&P i already signed with bank arrangement and KWSP also with price RM 260,000.00 and they can jack up the price after S&P signed? The only thing is that Im yet to pay the 10% to them. The 10% I plan to pay today however this new info really surprise me.

Really need your advice. Thank you guys for your help. Happy 2013 and have a nice day.
