I ranted recently about the 10% service charge by restaurants. I thought of compiling a list of restaurants in Cyberjaya that add a 10% service charge but afraid kena LOD. So decided to compile restaurants that doesn't instead. Need the collective wisdom of ktards to complete the list.

Do you think the 10% service charge should be considered as misleading pricing? Why don't restaurants just reflect it in the menu prices? I feel restaurants should reflect actual prices in the menu. Share your thoughts.

I am thinking to use it to cook and bake healthier food especially pastries. I've been reading up on erythritol but couldn't find any long term study on side effects. Any sifu here can give me some guidance or point me in the right direction?

Buy or Rent

I'm a newbie in property and I want to ask the opinions of all the sifus here.

I just sold the house that I'm living in with the initial plan to upgrade to a larger house (more kids and parents moving in) around Puchong area. However, given that property prices have somewhat stagnant (in certain areas) and rental is quite reasonable, should I rent for the time being (and buy later) or continue with my plan to upgrade now?

Also, a related question, how does the current rental yield justify some of the selling prices in Klang Valley? For example, I can rent a decent sized (4BR) and furnished house in Puchong for about RM 2,000/mth on houses that are selling closed to RM 800,000. This is just about 3% annual return on the selling price. From a newbie point of view, wouldn't be putting the money in FD be better? Or is projected capital appreciation the main driving force behind the selling price?
