E7500 Temperature

Hi folks,

The Story:
I recently bought an E7500 processor to replace my old Pentium D 930.

The E7500 temperature are always on the safe zone. No issue on overheating I guess.

However, I notice that when I was using my stock Intel heatsink, the temperature on the CPU is at 50C static all the way. Even after some heavy gaming, the temperature still shows at 50C.

Now, I have change the heatsink to CM Hyper 212+ with Delta 120x38 fan. I did a check and now it is 44C static all the way even after heavy gaming. I expect it to have additional few C to it but is still static 44C.

As curious as I am, I went into BIOS wanted to check. The screen for CPU temperature doesn't load at all, it just hangs there. I suspect MOBO having problems?

I need some advise or insight on what is the possible problem? Or maybe there is nothing wrong with it I am just asking for too much on it

My current MOBO
ASUS P5KPL-AM

Thanks a bunch..

** Edit, some additional stuff on post 3.. Thanks..

low-end HTPC card

Hello friends,

I am building a HTPC rig currently. I have look through some cards with native HDMI ports and came down to 2 choices and unable to tell which to go with. Need some insight from you experts on the below cards for me to come to a conclusion.

The 2 cards that caught my eye are :-
1.) ECS G210 Native HDMI (No fan, very silent and nice)
2.) HIS HD4650 Native HDMI

My budget is below RM200 for the card.

** Note, this rig will be plugged via HDMI to my 42" TV. Then from TV to Home Theater System via Audio out port in TV.

Hope the ppl here can help me on this.

Thanks in advance.

[Help] Old P4 Gigabyte Mobo Problem

Hello friends,

Need some help here on my gf's old P4 Gigabyte-8ie2004P mobo.

Few days back I took apart everything in the rig except the CPU for cleaning.. Dust was collecting so thick that is unbelievable..

After 2 days of cleaning with blood and sweat lol~, re-assemble everything and the motherboard started giving continuous short beeps that are so high pitched and annoying..

I checked the manual it says power error, so i went to diagnose it..

First, i removed all the HDD and optical/floppy connections, fans and test, same result..

Second, started trying on different PSUs (3 of them, all cap ayams), same result.. (haven't try it on my brother's current Seasonic power supply yet, lazy to disassemble very troblesome)

Next, i started to take out the graphic card and check whether is the AGP slot dusty or anything, cleared and nothing, plug back, getting same results.. beeping like crazy (same beep pattern non stop)..

Following, i tried testing out the 3 memory slots.. I have 3 units of RAM dimms which is working previously in this rig and tried different combination, and still the same..

Lastly, i double check whether is the CPU fan that is not working, but it is working when i powered it up.

Finally i gave up and slept at 2.am after 2 hours of diagnosing non-stop.. Having migrain now as i woke at 6 and come to work lol~

Anybody have suggestions to help me?

[addedon]January 14, 2010, 11:02 am[/addedon]Some little updates on this.. I noticed that the GC card's fan is not spinning as well..

Still figuring out whats the main root problem..

Thanks in advance if anyone have an idea on this..

[addedon]January 19, 2010, 4:50 pm[/addedon]Solved.. Clean all the RAM and VGA cards slot contact point..

No more beeping..

Macbook White Late 06 (Core2Duo) Problems

Hi folks,

I am having a Macbook White Late 06, Intel Core 2 Duo model. I am having some problems with my Macbook and I am quite upset about it. Need some advise/solution here on the problems I am facing.

I have been using my Macbook happily for the past 2 years plus until recently (2 weeks or so) I find that I have mainly 2 problems :-

1.) Noticed there are visible cracks at the edge of the palm rest.
2.) Some of the keys of my Macbook is not responding. (F1 to F7, right shift key)

Have any of you experience this? btw, when I mean the keys are not responding, is really not responding.. Not the Fn issue/preference issue..

Anybody have encounter this before? Seriously, I didn't expect these kinds of problems to happen in Macbook. If a HDD failure, I still can accept but these? Really upset with it, I felt cheated as my other 3 notebooks from other brands which is older and cheaper than this Macbook are still working fine without any problems yet.

Any kind soul out there have recommendations on how to fix my macbook before I barged into the service center and give them a piece of my mind? Btw, my Macbook is out of warranty already.

Hi,

I have some questions on upgrading my graphic card to Sapphire HD3650 (AGP).

Below is my old rig specs :-
Motherboard : Matsonic MS9307C (AGP 4x)
Processor: P4 1.6Ghz
RAM: 2GB DDR (max)
HDD: 1 unit of 160GB
Graphic card: Geforce 4 MX440 64MB
Casing/PSU: iCute 450W
OS: Windows XP (DirectX 9.0c)

The questions for the graphic card [Sapphire HD3650 (AGP)] to be upgraded to my rig :-
1. Will it be bottleneck (performance wise) ?
2. Is my PSU sufficient for the card?
3. Any other things that i need to be aware of?

Some common uses for this rig: Movies, medium to low quality for latest games (not hoping much).

Hope to hear some constructive answers for my questions.

Thanks in advance for the replies.
