There were not so many models in year 2003 compared to now but for comparisons using models that are available since 2003, I can think of

Toyota Camry now RM150k....how much in 2003?

Honda Accord now RM150k...how much in 2003?

Honda Civic now RM120k...how much in 2003?

Anybody that bought cars around 2002 to 2004 can state the price of purchase then and the equivalent model price now?

I would like to see how much car prices have gone up.

Will MRT Line 1 Operate in 2017?

Scheduled to complete in 2017. Lately, have been seeing a lot of activities near all the stations and the tunnel-boring machines also deployed. Do you think Line 1 will be fully operational by mid 2017 as scheduled? If they follow the schedules tightly, and there are no reasons not to, because, unlike LRT, these works are being carried out at VERY BUSY roads and places. There are a lot of social pressure to meet deadlines? What do you think?

If you think will delay, what are the things that are likely to delay the project and if so, most likely by when can we see Line 1 operate?

Loan And Tax Question

Hope to clarify some questions.

1) If I bought a property and got a loan of rm300k and interest paid for the loan is rm20k per year. Rental received rm40k. Taxable rental is then rm40k - 20k = 20k. What happens if I refinance and got a bigger loan of 500k and interest paid per year becomes rm30k but rental remains the same. How much is my taxable rental income? rm20k or 10k?

2) If I paid cash rm300k for a property and rented out for rm30k per annum. Taxable rental is rm30k. What if I then refinance and get a 500k loan and paid interest of 20k per annum. What is my taxable rental?

AUSMAT is available at Kolej Bandar Utama (KBU). The problem is I have not heard of anybody doing or have done it at KBU. For those who have done AUSMAT at KBU, how was the study environment there and also how many students are enrolled for the course per year?

TQ
