Can BB Emails/BBM work with only data package?

Hi all,

I am currently using BB Bold with BES (company issued) and Unlimited Data Plan with Maxis. Reason I am using this is really because my company has strict policies around accessing email from phones. Personally I would really like to use an Android or iPhone.

Now I know Maxis has capability to provide 2nd SIM for data only.

I am wondering whether if it is possible to get this 2nd SIM and use it on my BB Bold while my main SIM is put onto an Android phone. But I will still need by BB Bold to be able to access emails and BBM.

Anyone knows if this is possible?

Just want to check if anyone encountering the same problem? My Unifi service in Ara Damansara has been down for the whole of 22-Apr-2011 till now. Called the 1800 number twice but was put on hold for very long. Even at this hour, they tell me that their Customer Service agents are all engaged.

Anyone facing the same problem?

Just thought I shared about this utility released by HTC that will make some of the 3G windows mobile phones out there a wifi router essentially making it like a mifi router.

This is especially useful for Mac users who could not use their windows mobile device as a 3G modem. I am now usig this as a mifi and have both my Macbook Pro and iPad connected to it.

Unfortunately not all devices are supported. The list of working devices are in the post in the URL above.

I just want to check whether we could use a DiGi Broadband Only (no voice) Sim in a Smartphone as a modem?

I know we can't have voice, but I have an additional smartphone lying around and thought I might put it to better use with my DiGi Broadband SIM.

If we can, does anyone know what are the connection settings? I am using a HTC WM based smartphone.
