Hello all sifus out there.... Below is my schematic showing my simple home networking setup as well as home entertaiment.

As we can see here, my streamyx modem located at 1st floor. My modem also have router built-in. Since my nas(qnap) located at ground floor and cannot connect to modem via wireless connection so i have connected my nas using homeplug, where modem also connected using homeplug.

Usually i use my laptop at ground floor and using wireless connection to connect to my modem to surf the net.
I can find my nas within the network by using qnap utility without any issue. And i can access my nas even-though it takes a few minutes to connect it. My nas also can play movie to my tv.

My problem is after a few minutes my nas will disconnect itself and its difficult to connect back. When I success to connect back it will happened again and again.

Any idea? Or my connection is not correct? Any configuration that i miss? How to stabilize my network connection?

Hi guys audio kaki's out there.

How can we improve our sound quality audio? Whether need to install power-amp or change the HU and speaker? If we change HU, any good HU that can support steering wheel control buttons?

Hi guys... need a little help here.

My company got 4 branch in malaysia and KL is the HQ. We all communicate via email to inform latest infos.
Me at Perak got internet connection with fix ip and it will be linked to HQ first and then to internet (www).

Meaning that got so much website that HQ will blocked like storage website, you tube and etc. So how i overcome this matters, oh i know is against our office law but it will be nice if we can pass thru the HQ after office hour. Please advice and help.

Hi...

I have a video in wmv format that produce 5.1 channel. Now I wanna convert it and burn to dvd to able be play in my dvd player/home theater but I dont wanna lose anything in video and 5.1 audio quality.

What should I do? What software can do this?

Hi guys.........

I try to find a HDMI dvd player that got separate 5.1 audio output to suit my receiver but i cant. Can anybody suggest to me what brand got this features?

p/s : separate 5.1 audio output meaning that the player got:-

Front speaker @ left , right = 2 output
Rear speaker @ left , right = 2 output
Center speaker = 1 output
Sub Woofer = 1 output

6 Output audio = 5.1 Channel

Hi all.....

Yesterday i just go for site seeing the new latio at one of ETCM in Ipoh.

The SA said that now they got promotion if customer book the latio they will give a free Plus Cool tint.

He claim that the Plus Cool tint film just similiar to v-kool and the prize bout RM650 per sedan car.

So, anybody heard bout this brand and whose just install this to ur car please give a comment.

Hi guys...

Recently my pendrive (TinyDisk 256MB) got a weird problem. I connect to my office pc via usd n my pc can recognize like before, n i open win explorer or my computer seem can see F drive (removable drive).

But when i click to F drive a win popup n its said "Please insert a disk into drive F". What actually happen.... my pen drive will flash its led when i connect to pc just like before. I also try to my home pc n i facing same problem. Please help...

Office : WinXP SP2 mobo Asus..

Hi guys.. i really need your recommendation/advice for network stuff.

a few week ago my office is setting up network n get connected to internet via streamyx. i actually quite familiar with the network stuff but not the xpert one.

my boss actually has seen my work n khowledge regarding to the pc n hardware problem... n recently he appointed me for xtra job for this IT where i'm not qualified to. But is ok for my pocket.

The problem is.... ok its like this:-

in my office got 34 staff, all working using their own pc.
my boss want me to find, if out there got a special software that he can watch from his pc monitor if his staff doing their job or not... he mean if staff no.1 using ms word, excel, autocad n other... so he can see on his pc monitor. So he know what is going on for each staff.

i hope you guys get me. Please help...

Installation Issue

Hi guys... i need some advice here.

i currently running XP on my main drive(Fat32) and Vista on my secondry drive (not 1 hd with 2 partition but 2 separated hd), where my secondry drive is NTFS of course to running Vista.

Now i planning to install linux on my secondry hd, where during installation i wanna reformat NTFS to vfat using linux (any application that bundle together with linux cd/dvd) i dont wanna run vista anymore till the final release.

My question:-
1. During installation, can linux reformat my ntfs to vfat?
2. After installation of linux success, can my pc boot to my XP and or linux? Where do i have to put GRUB/LILO? Or do i need 3rd party software like bootmagic or something else install in my XP first?
3. Please advice which linux distrubution OS that user friendly and easy to use? and is that linux (iso image) is auto boot? Where can i dl this linux iso bootable file?
