Omega x Swatch watch sold on Carousell for RM8k

The new Omega x Swatch collaboration that was launched yesterday (27 March) received overwhelming responses all around the world.

Not long after the launch, many scalpers have already listed the watches on Carousell, with prices ranging from RM2,200 to RM8,000.

According to Swatch, the original price for the watch in Malaysia is RM1,065.

In one of the listings, we can see that some scalpers managed to get quite a number of watches during the launching day in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

However, the highest one is listed for RM8,000 – almost 8 times higher than the retail price.

KL becoming like London

KUALA LUMPUR – Padang Rengas MP Nazri Aziz claimed that the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, is becoming like London as more buildings and residential areas are given English names.

This is because the roads and new buildings in Kuala Lumpur are being name in English(instead of Malay),” Nazri explained.

Name change to attract buyers

During the debate for the 2022 Supply Bill for the federal territories ministry at the committee level at the Dewan Rakyat today (Dec 2), he questioned the need to name buildings and roads in English instead of Malay.

It is understood that some might think changing the names into English could attract more buyers to buy office space and homes,” he said.

Subsequently, he also realized some of the places were given names in Bahasa Malaysia, but then changed to English instead.

KUALA LUMPUR – A prestigious international school, ISKL is now being rocked by fresh allegations of two of its students raking in thousands of Ringgit by selling nude pictures of underage girls.

Twitter user @lordeispoc posted a long thread claiming that the duo from the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) had sold the nude pictures via Discord, an instant messaging and digital distribution platform.

The Twitter thread has since received over 500 likes and 500 retweets at press time.

‘He was lonely and had no friends’

In the Tweet, @lordeispoc posted a few screenshots and a video showing one of the perpetrators named Imran confessing to the act.

I think I sent about five sexy pictures of you (the victim) […] I sent (the nude pictures) to quite a few people actually. I was on a call with Michael and we were playing games.”

He then tried to justify his actions by claiming that his friend was “lonely and had no friends”.
Michael doesn’t have any social life or friends in school, so I called him and sent the naked pictures to him and asked whether he had seen this kind of pictures before.”

The OP (original poster) also claimed that one of them received a scholarship from an Ivy League school.

Malaysian passport holders currently can travel to 177 countries without a visa, making it the second most powerful passport in Southeast Asia behind Singapore, which ranks first in Southeast Asia and second in the world.

DBP: Bubble tea is now called "Teh Mutiara"

The Institute of Language and Literature of Malaysia (DBP) recently revealed the official word for the beverage - "teh mutiara", which directly translates as pearl tea in Malay.

According to its Facebook post, teh mutiara is defined as "a tea-based beverage where milk or sweetened flavours is added into it, along with small balls of potato starch (boba), fruit jelly, cincau, agar-agar and pudding".

KUALA LUMPUR - With the recent spike of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, many opposition MPs and netizens expressed their concerns over the country's preparedness in handling the crisis with the hashtag #TamatDarurat.

#TamatDarurat was first initiated by Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad on March 12 as a petition to the King to withdraw the declaration of an emergency. It quickly gained widespread support from the public and politicians, including Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, Lembah Pantai MP Fadmi Fadzil and Petaling Jaya MP Maria Chin Abdullah.

According to the #TamatDarurat website, it has now received more than 35,000 signatures.

The call to end the state of emergency was first trending on Twitter back in March, but it has made a strong comeback now. Why? Here are a few reasons:

COVID-19 cases are still increasing
When the government declared a state of emergency in January, its purpose was to control the pandemic. However, recent statistics show that it is going in the wrong direction even after more than three months of darurat in place.

Accusations of double standards
Since the closure of Parliament, there has been an explosion of news accusing politicians of violating the SOPs (e.g. travelling interstate, not wearing face masks) but faced little to no repercussions. In contrast, struggling citizens were slapped with crushing compounds amounting up to RM10,000.

The Global Peace Index (GPI) covers 99.7% of the world’s population, using 23 qualitative and quantitative indicators from highly respected sources. It also measures the level of peaceability across three domains - level of societal safety and security, extent of domestic and international conflicts, and degree of militarisation.

KUALA LUMPUR - The Institute of Language and Literature of Malaysia (DBP) has officially standardized the Malay spelling of the flat rice noodle dish loved by Malaysians as "kuetiau" instead of "koay teow" or "kuetiaw".

MSBC urges restoration of travel bubble

KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysia-Singapore Business Council (MSBC) (Malaysian Chapter) has urged the government from both countries to restore the business travel bubble as a means to stem further damage to the economy.

It said in a statement that one of the challenges in bringing back "vibrant trade and economic activities" between Malaysia and Singapore was the suspension of the business travel bubble.

Netizens question PDRM over Annuar Musa's SOP brea

The Minister of Federal Territories Annuar Musa was found to have allegedly breached the SOPs during the Movement Control Order (MCO) by having a meal with more than 5 people at a table. Yesterday (Feb 17), Free Malaysia Today (FMT) reported that PDRM has referred the case to the Attorney-General's Chambers for the "next course of action".

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Saiful Azly Kamaruddin said that although Annuar's statement was taken, other individual statements were still needed in order to get "solid facts and evidence".

On Twitter, netizens described the PDRM's decision not to punish Annuar as "double standards", with some asking why commoners like them would be issued a compound fine on the spot without consulting the Attorney-General.

Another netizen commented: "Even the PDRM doesn't have the courage to take action against Annuar Musa. In the end, ministers get away scot-free while whistleblowers are sentenced to jail."

as the title , I was surfing my facebook and suddenly my iPhone 4 reboot itself (around 10 times) , then I hold the home button + sleep button to force shut down , then I quickly go and restore my iPhone , my iTunes (up to date) detected my iPhone 4 but it keep on "waiting for iPhone...." like 3 hours , I tried few times and at once it back to recovery mode , but when I connected to my comp it doesn't detect my iPhone , anyone have suggestion about this?
