Today got new SOP or rules? My area got polis going around the restaurants & bars and asking them to close. Some restaurants at first started to close, then opened back now but they said can only serve food and non-alcoholic drinks. Apa citer? Taliban state inkambing?

According to the Lowyat article above, the HP Elite x3 will be arriving here in September 2016, which is around the same time as its worldwide release.

Microsoft Band 2

I've been doing some searching on Lowyat forums, but there isn't a proper serious topic about the MS Band / Band 2, so I apologise in advance if this would be the wrong section to start this in.

Would just like to get a feel from the more knowledgeable users here on what you think would be the best way of getting our hands on the MS Band 2 (since MS Malaysia doesn't have any announced plans on bringing it here). And no, I don't know anyone travelling to/from US/UK in the foreseeable future (if I want to get someone to buy it for me, I'll probably need to wait until May 2016 and that feels like a LONGGG way away ).

But not sure how trustworthy the seller is or how 11street's track record is like generally, since most of my online shopping is either through Amazon (Band 2 doesn't ship to Malaysia) or Lazada. Any thoughts? How are other MS enthusiasts in Malaysia getting their gear?

General Opinions: How far in advance to apply

Hey guys, so I'm looking to find out what you guys think and whether this practice is recommended or not.

Basically, in the event that I want to resign from my current company, I will be tendering my resignation in January 2014. Reason being it's already so close to December and any smart person would stay to collect the bonus first. Notice period is 2 months, so earliest I can start my next job is probably early March 2014.

So the question now is, how advisable is it to starting applying to other places now and to specify in the cover letter that my expected start date is in March 2014 (which is above 5 months away, which seems quite substantial)? Should I be waiting for a while more until it gets a bit closer i.e. start applications in December only?

What do you guys think? Appreciate any feedback!
