Norton antivirus

i just format my sister laptop and reinstall the window however during the installation. i installed the norton anti virus accidentally(software come as bundle with laptop installation driver)
when i tried to install with another antivirus NOD the laptop start to act very slow and i think it might due to the crashing of 2 antivirus. i am planning to removed the Norton however i can't get the uninstall button from start menu and control panel.....
Is there anyway to uninstalled the Norton???

Is there any way to update the virus database without connecting online?
i mean is there any updated virus pack for us to download and by using a USB storage to update another pc that does not have the Internet connection?

Kaspersky license issue

here is the story,
my friend brought a kaspersky antivirus for 3 users for 1 year. he sharing the cost with 1 of his friend and totally 2 license was activated initially (1 license was reserved).
After 2 weeks due to some reason he format his pc and try to reinstall to kaspersky into the pc. After that, he found that the license was valid from the date he reinstall the window which makes him suspect that he was actually activated the 3rd license.
Can anyone help to confirm on this issue and how can he retrieve the 2nd license and leave the 3rd to the other?
i think they are sharing the same password among the 3 users.

Yesterday when i try to start my laptop, it just won respond on the screen. however the light on the power, volume key and charging led was lighted. the harddisk led was light up jsut for a second when the on button was pushed then it fall dead again. the laptop not even loading the biossss.....
can someone help me on this?? anyone encounter b4? i need to take the data out from it at least....

By the way, my laptop is compaq V3222.

Media player faulty

Recently i just update the Window media player to 9series. when playing video the screen become very dark and red. i tried to solve it by update to 11 series but the same problem occurred.
Can someone help me with this? thanks lot....

can't update to directX 9.0

currently i am using nVidia FX5200 driver version 6.14.
After i reinstall the window i found that i can't update the directX to 9.0 and now i am still using directX8.1....
i tried to use different of driver version but it still can't get through.
does anyone know what is the problem with my PC?

i just change my Myvi's engine oil to Hi-Power 15W-50 SL/SG (Fully synthetic), any1 can help me to identify whether this engine oil allow me to go for 10000 or 5000km before i need to send to sercive?
There wasn't any label on the bottle stated the mileage it can go....

Ram arrangement

I am currently having a 256ram(333Mhz) and a 1G ram(400Mhz). when plug in both ram, the 256 ram pull my 1G ram to run at 333Mhz, when plug in 1G ram alone it can run at 400Mhz. wish to know that which 1 will be giving me a better performance??

By the way, can anyone tell me where can i claim the warranty for kingston ram at JB area?? my the other 256ram spoilt (tht y i get another 1G ram with diffferent capacity)

monitor blackout

my CRT 17' philips monitor recent sudden gone black without any sign. the power and the cable no problem and i check it ady. screen will gone in black onli and i hav to hit the back side of it to recover the picture , however it will gone off in several minutes later .
i suspect there is something loose inside.is there any expect can help me.

laptop to projector

my gf just brought acompaq Presario V3000 series,she always having problem when connecting the laptop with projector.the brand for that projector is sony.the technician there telling her compaq always having this problem.
so does anyone here having the same problem too??
any solution or driver can solve it??
