Hopeless service by Naza Kia

I had a pretty bad experience with KIA after sales services yesterday. My 3 month old Cerato had an engine oil leak since a month ago. The SC at Seri Kembangan wiped off the leak and after that it could not be found again. Naza HQ technical people took a look at it and also could not find the leak.

I spent 1 month driving the car to see if the problem resurfaces and then they asked to have my car inspected by a Korean engineer (apparently an EXPERT).

He spent only 10 or so minutes on the car, decided that there is no leak and that there's no issue, despite being given the photographic evidence of the oil stains and other SC also saw the oil stains.

So after everything is said and done, they did not do anything and just flatly say there is no problem and asked me to continue to drive my car...and if anything...we have a 5 year warranty.

I really didn't need an EXPERT to tell me what I already know...that the leak is not so obvious and it is in fact, difficult to find. And last I expect is having it seen by the Korean Engineer, that I'd be asked to continue driving a car that has leaked oil before, and nothing has been done about it.

I asked, if my car were to run out of engine oil in some unknown location with no KIA dealership or SC, how. They say

QUOTE

"No worries, we have towing service!".

Clearly they don't know the amount of potential inconvenience that would come up should something like this happen.

Needless to say I'm pretty pissed off with them having wasted my time. The tidak apa attitude is even more disappointing (trying to mince my words here).

Hoping to share with you guys my experience below and hope to trouble you all to re share the following link on FB and spread the word so that Naza KIA takes a look at this matter seriously rather than sweep it under the carpet like this.

This naturally will invite comments of Korean cars being sub-standard etc. No doubt, they have improved in design, but clearly the after sales is a thousand years behind. I've backlisted KIA from my next purchase.

Hope to trouble you too to re-share and spread the word, and potentially for those of us who own a KIA, should our cars <touch wood> need some serious attention. The final hope is really that they improve on their after sales service.

Condo: Downstairs neighbour complain of leaks

Hi Guys, a while back my downstairs neighbor complained that his plaster ceiling is wet and claimed that the water is coming from my unit. I went in with my contractor and we found that the pipe cap above his plaster ceiling is leaking. The pipe is inside his unit. There's no water leaking from the actual concrete ceiling.

I'd like to ask, in this scenario, is it my responsibility to repair and replace that cap? Or would it be his?

Hope to get some insights from you guys as he's asking me to fix his cap and his plaster ceiling. Just need get some insights before making a decision on this.
