Need help re purchase 37-42" LCD TV in Ipoh

hi,

mintak tolong sikit sifu sifu sekalian...

im currently in the market for an LCD TV, 37" seems to be about right for my AV center. Problem is, here in Ipoh wheres a good place to shop with good prices. Ive only seen RRP at the stores ive been to. (mixed retail outlets). will be using it to watch astro and dvds only. no pc, htpc or gaming.

any suggestions would be much appreciate.

ive looked at some:

37" sony KLV37S400A $2999
37" panasonic TX-37LZ80MK $3299
42" philips 42PFL3403S\97 $3299 (this one is the older one i think, but its @ tesco, so maybe i need to look more)

without having to go down to KL and deal with transport and other logistics, where should i shop in Ipoh without kena con?

of course will go to the store with sheafs of printouts of current prices. the difference can buy celebratory makan for whole family.

i read in these forums that the above models can be had for much less, but forum posters hardly note down where they made the purchase from?

im a NooB at this.. maybe the only smart thing im doing is posting for help here,
if im on the wrong jalan, any and all suggestions/models will be much appreciated to get me on the right track.

regards,
asmd.

Canning gardens, ipoh - recent very slow streamyx

hi..

just wanted to know if anybody else from canning gardens area in ipoh has experienced very slow streamyx recently. DL mx 25kbps and max UL is about 5kbps (before it was DL max 60kbps and max UL 25 kbps). it used to do this intermittently before... middle of the year but now in the recent past one month or so its been just about permanently at this ridiculously slow speed, cant even use skype with video.

i have called tmnet many times and have had them look things over.. finally , they blame the fact that area is overloaded.. but no solution given. they even went to a stretch to blame house wiring (!!!).

if area overloaded and really poor bandwidth.. with no solution by tmnet, simply means im paying monthly service fee for no service. and this is quite frustrating.

has anybody in other areas been in this situation before and any suggestions to solutions or fixes that have worked to improve speed?

any and all help much appreciated.

regards,
asmd.
