Good evening! I need to ask for advice on what WiFi Repeater/Booster I should use.

My apartment (BJ Court) is located near a TM WiFi Hotspot (BJ Komplex). I can detect the TM WiFi on my apartment but the reception is very poor and sometimes disappear from the list. I'm on the 15th floor and roughly that would be around 150 ft from BJ Komplex.

I am choosing between these two repeaters but I have talked to most of the salesmen at Komplex and they said that it might not work.

WL559E - Wall-Plugged 300Mbps Wi-Fi Repeater RM90
TL-WA850RE (NEW) 300Mbps Universal Wireless Extended-Mini Size RM75

They are repeaters but I am not sure how effective they are. Does anyone have any experience on these two or do you have other suggestions?

Many thanks,
Josh

Please advise on choosing a good second hand car

Good morning! My name is Josh and I am a foreigner. I have been searching a second hand car for family use. I thought of getting a brand new one but since I am a new father I have decided to spread my costs and get a second hand instead.

I have been researching for the last month and I think I found three candidates. These are my criteria:

1) Budget range will be at most RM 15K or lower the better. I will allocate at least RM 2K for the wear and tear I need to replace after getting the car.

2) Spare parts availability and maintenance. I am limited to Bukit Jambul area so I have zero knowledge on which place to go or mainly how to get there. Maybe with GPS?

3) Fuel consumption. I prefer cars that don't drink petrol like there is no tomorrow. But I will compromise if the car has some advantage over the other.

4) I am a stick driver, meaning I prefer manual. Although I don't mind if I find an automatic. I am used to left hand driving and this will be my first try on right hand driving.

I have narrowed down to these three cars:

Proton Savvy 2005-2006 - The best car so far on what I read on performance and fuel consumption (better than MyVi?). Price range on carlist.my from RM10000-15000. The only problem is the after sales service of P1 (Proton?) sucks big time and they do not know anything about their own car. So many negative comments for a local automaker. The only two trusted service centers, RS Auto and Renautech are four hours away from BJ!!! I already posted questions on savoc.net but I got no answers. If I only could find a more accessible area then it's the Savvy.

Peugeot/Nasa 206 Bestari 2001 - This I found by accident while researching the Proton Waja. Price range from RM 15000-20000. It's Tiptronic so it has the best of both worlds of manual and auto. There are a number of shops that are within Penang area but I do not know yet which is the most recommended and nearer to BJ. Also for spare parts I need to know the nearest workshop from BJ. I did not register yet on PCM to ask more questions but I did searched their site. There is also a lot of negative feedbacks from Naza on their service.

Proton Waja 2001 - If I can't find the two I can compromise on this car. Price from 15000-20000. It is larger, have a 1.6 motor (I don't want the 1.8 Renault engine), and has spare parts everywhere. I just need recommended shops and spare parts center around BJ or Pulau Pinang. FC will be higher but I can take the compromise if I don't find a Savvy or 206.

I will exclude Japanese or Korean cars because those are brands that are very numerous in my country. I have a Mazda 323 Familia, great handling and torque, but the FC is quite high and maintenance is above average costs. I like to try the local cars or the continental cars.

Btw, I am not in a hurry and I might wait for another month or two to purchase the car. Please also give your suggestions on other cars that you think will meet my criteria.

Thank you very much for all your help.

Josh
