Did you encounter the high freight charges for import tax calculation because of free shipping from USA seller to the USA address you used?<br /><br />To share my experience with buying from Amazon via click from shopback. End up I pay extra tax<br /><br />1. USA address is not tax free<br />It end up I need to pay about 9% of my product cost to ship to the SHOPBACK USA address. It is becaus NY is not tax free zone. The fact is it is with highest sales tax based on my recent search.<br /><br />2. Amarex is used. My shipping charge is RM 90. But the freight charges stated rm480.25. RM 35 processing fees.<br />I checked the other forum, this is due to my Amazon invoice is with free shipping. So customs will based on freight charge schedule, not the shipping charges of the forwarding agent. <br /><br />I feel very bad. I thought I save with free shipping from Amazon to SHOPBACK USA address. And cheap shipping fees from SHOPBACK using Amarex.<br /><br />But I end up paying high total tax ( doubles tax on USA and Malayisa, as well as high freight charges on the duties calculation). The extra tax I pay is 160(USA sales tax) + rm27.24 (Due to freight charges 480 instead of 90 is used)=187.24. I need to pay processing fees 35 as well which total 222.24 on top of shipping fees and import tax with my real CIF.<br /><br />Is anyon to advise if you encounter any unexpected payment when purchasing product from Amazon that involve forwarding agent?
