i recently bought a new phone.
i hate how big whatsapp history is so I am thinking of NOT transferring all the records to my new phone. but all the invoices, receipts, quotations I got is mostly in whatsapp. a bit concerned to just dump everything in the bin. whatsapp pun bodo, wont allow me to continue using the account on the old phone.

So I recently bought a used S25 from singapore. It is still under warranty and should be international warranty. so I contacted samsung customer service to get clarification on whether i can just go to a malaysian samsung service center instead of bringing the phone to singapore. there is nothing wrong with the phone, I just want to know this information now so that if something did happen, I know where i need to go to fix the phone.

however, the customer service rep keeps giving weird answers. as if he was trying to hide something.
i am staying in JB so its not too difficult to send to singapore service center but it would be a lot more convenient if i can just go to malaysian service center instead.

me: oh, ok. so as long as they have the parts in stock, the malaysian service center can do the repair under warranty. its only if they dont have spare parts in stock that they are unable to do it. what is the difference with sending the phone to a singapore service center?

samsung: That is correct. The technician may not be able to proceed with the repair without the parts may be needed for the repair. If you bring your device to Samsung Singapore Authorized Service Center, the repair service will be covered under manufacturer's warranty. me: sorry, i feel like you are trying to hide something. can you just plainly explain the difference in parts replacement under warranty claim process between a singapore service center and a malaysia service center for my singaporean S25 phone? if the malaysian service center will not replace the parts for singapore warranty, just please tell me. if they will and there is no difference between malaysia and singapore service center warranty process then please just say there is no difference.

samsung: I do understand your concern. I do apologize for the late response. As stated, the availability of service repair parts depends on the assessment by the Malaysian's Authorized Service Center. Once your device has been evaluated, you will be notified by them if the parts are available and covered under global warranty.

me: so is it the same if i went straight to a singapore service center? or is there a difference?

i feel like the only reason they wont give me a straight answer is because their "international warranty policy" is not 100% international warranty. maybe it only covers labor cost but for parts replacement, need to bring back to origin country or something like that.

or am i missing something?

Saya sebenarnya kerja biasa2 aje. 9 pagi sampai 6 petang, lunch time sy makan, kdg2 mengular sikit, time solat kita solat, time meeting kita pura2 dengar. Takde apa pun yg best pasal kerja saya.

✅ Kalau saya basuh kereta harga RM10, saya bagi extra RM5 kat org basuh tu; kesian dia penat.

I am expected to get the keys to my house by end of this year.
I have reached out to an interior design company that i had been following on social media for a while. I really like their style and after following them, I just cannot find any other ID that I would like to use for my house.

the quote they gave me for ground floor of my 2-storey 2300+ sq ft corner lot house is RM160k+ and the timeline they quote is 4-5 months just for ground floor. 4-5 months paying the bank and not able to move-in adds another almost rm30k to the price.

is it worth it?

house is for own stay first but will likely sell or rent out within the next 5-10 years.

Best way to send money to indonesia

Someone i know needs to send money to indonesia every month. Last time they tried using bigpay but the recipient says he never received the funds. When he checked with bigpay, bigpay says funds went out so need to check with recipient bank. Recipient bank says they dont check money received so bigpay needs to confirm if transaction happened. Really stupid situation where we dont really know if the recipient received the money or not.

Anyone here have any suggestion how to do this? Anyone have experience using bigpay or wise for international transfer to Indonesia?

I recently renewed my car insurance and the past few days I have been trying to renew the roadtax through myJPJ app but kept getting error "null".
today, when i try again, i get error saying my car is blacklisted. i check saman and there is no saman. this car has never got JPJ saman before and I had settled all pdrm saman several months ago.

i malas go to JPJ so far from here. i try calling but they never pick-up. really sh*tty service la. really menyusahkan suddenly blacklist my car for no reason.

I am planning to take hibah to partially cover my house loan.
my takaful agent suggested i take a plan that guarantees a flat price for 10 years until i am 50 years old and the i have the OPTION to extend it till 100 years.
my concern is the price will change from rm100 a month to double or triple. he says no no. most likely increase 20% only. is this true or is he trying to scam me? 50+ year old male's hibah monthly only rm120?
