Is travelling overrated?

This is a travel forum and naturally people here favour travel over other things. I am not trying to say travel is not good but I think it is overrated. Don't get me wrong. If I am VERY rich, I would like to travel 5 star and enjoy flying 1st class and get pampered in 6 star hotels and spas. But when I am not that rich, I find traveling a waste of precious resources. I cannot accept people traveling on a tight budget because often they skip on the very best food or try to avoid going to places with expensive entrance fees. To me, good food and good hotels form an integral part of traveling and without them, traveling will be much less interesting. Another argument I often hear about travelling is the "experience is priceless", "it open my eyes", "priceless memories". I will rebut them one by one. What kind of experience is priceless? What kind of things do you expect to learn on a short trip that are considered "eye-opening"" Do you mean you actually have a new business insight? Or, you suddenly understand what life is all about? About "priceless memories" -- all I can say is normally what is retained in your memory are just vague glimpses of a trip. How many of you actually remember all the details of a Europe trip, for instance? Not much right? probably 5% -- and all those recollections are vague. You probably only remember 1 or 2 "scenes" in your mind. If you really want to learn about the country or culture, you can learn much much more by just reading about facts and watching youtubes and other peoples videos.

Would like to hear if you agree or disagree and reasons.

Fully Flexi Loan

1) There are many loans claiming to be flexi loan but as far as I understand only HSBC and CIMB and perhaps Citibank provide fully flexi loan ( with current account combined ). Am I right?

2) For these fully flexi loans, I need help in understanding how it works.

E.g. Loan rm350k.
Monthly installment 2,000

If I put extra cash of RM50k into the flexi account, do I still need to make monthly payments of Rm2,000 every month?

TQ
