Names reversed in bookings - MAS

Hi,

I just made an online reservation for a return flight between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. I accidentally reversed the guest's first & last name during the booking.

Will that be an issue when checking in both airports in Bangkok and later in Kuala Lumpur?

Thank you for the clarification.

High end condo - Capped internet speed?

Guys,

I am moving into a high end condo, St. Mary Residences and was told by the UniFi contractor that this condo infrastructure is limited to 30Mbps.

Is that true such hardware limitation can exist in a particular condo? It kinda annoys me that i was told of this information after coming with high expectation of this place.

ASEAN double taxation exemption

All,

I wanted to buy photographic chemicals of German origin from a Thailand distributor into Malaysia. Both Malaysia & Thailand have similar tax to such specialized item, around 20% + GST/VAT (6%/7%).

My question is: Since Thailand already pays for the import tax, does the ASEAN double tax exemption excludes buyers of other ASEAN countries from paying another level of tax, since that one country has paid for it?

Another question: do I need to apply for an AP from MITI?

Thanks for your opinion!

To all film lovers,

I am offering film scanning for both 135 & 120 roll, and 4x5 sheet films. (Colour, slide, B&W & Kodachrome)

For 135mm film normal res (2000 dpi) is around RM12/roll. High res 135mm (4000-5300dpi) is around RM1.50 each negative pic.

For 120, its RM18/roll (2000dpi) and double for 4000dpi.

For 4x5, RM5 for normal res 2000dpi. RM10 for 4000dpi. Add 50% more to multi-exposure.

All film scan includes fade restoration, color cast correction & scratch removal (Except B&W)

For prints its up 4x6: RM2.50 (1200dpi) & 5x7: RM3 (1200dpi) each.
Additional service: Spot/dirt removal - depending on the severity on the prints.

Basically price is up to dpi & file size (it takes longer to scan)

For resolution reference, please look at this website:

http://www.filmscanner.info/en/Bildgroessen.html

For 35mm, it is recommended to go for 2800dpi for archival purposes. 2000dpi is good for web viewing.
For 120, 2000dpi results in quality similar to 35mm scans at 4000dpi

Examples of B&W scan with manual scratch removal:

[attachmentid=4142432]
[attachmentid=4142433]
[attachmentid=4142474]

[WTA] Help! Ship prohibited items from US

Hi all,

Need your wisdom here. I'm buying a few cans of hair spray from Amazon and the forwarding companies like Borderlinx refuse to ship it (because its flammable). Other companies seems to have similar policies as well. DHL seems to have some strict rules about it.

I can see that some other forumer can bring similar items & sell it in here. Any ideas on how i can get it shipped to Malaysia? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Forget to mention, amazon won't send it out from US (hence the required service of Borderlinx), borderlinx won't accept gift wrapped goods.

btw, the goods are already in Borderlinx. So its stuck there...

Thanks
