hye..
i have a near year old laptop
Dell Inspiron 15R n5110

this morning when i start up the laptop..
i get a sudden 'hiccup' where my screen will freeze suddenly for a second or two..
this happen more frequent during the usage today..

weird thing is my core (processors) are all high temp even tho on idle

any take on the cause, and possible solution?

During my Symbian time i known of software that can make fake ambient background sound during calls

Ie. Busses sound wheni was in calls so i can 'lie' that im in a bus whil im actually strolling in town..

BAD DISK on Hard Disk

hello~

i have a few-months-old external harddisk (3.5") 1Tb, a WD Green Caviar in a USB3.0 casing..

it works like a charm all this time, but suddenly this morning it didnt show up in my pc
when i try opening it in the Disk Management i get the "cyclic redundancy check" error..

refer to pic below.. (Im using Windows 7 Home Premium)
i havent done anything last night.. just watch some movie from the HDD..

when i click "Initialize Disk" i get that error...

Hello everyone..

Few days ago, (using Chrome) I type in the address bar and the option that comes down - ended with 'search on baidu'
Usually it'll be 'search with Google'

I changed the default search provider and delete Baidu from the list but it still appears and set itself as the default one

I open Internet Explorer and Firefox but apparently the same thing happens also; both have baidu as default search provider

Actually I won't mind it; but all the results that comes from the search is displayed in chinese characters.. *facepalm*

I googled and no solutions yet
Malware detection (Malwarebyte's) already update but still cannot repair..

Anyone?

Sharing internet in room between 2 computers

n00b question~

in my office room, last time i have only 1 computer so the internet line is plugged in to the wall socket (internet line) 24/7

but now im bringing in another laptop so i can do works without having to transfer my files to the office computer

but problem is, only 1 wall socket so i have to plug out the computer's internet line (the LAN cable) and connect plug in to my laptop's..

this is very inconvenient, i asked the technician from the IT dept but he say he cannot add another line..

so is there a way that i can have both my desktop and laptop online?
im not that good in IT.. so how's the IP sharing, etc etc is configured?
is there such device that lets me us the LAN cable, and connect my laptop also?
if possible, any device that lets me use the LAN but my laptop can connect wirelessly?

Can Load Your Apps From Memory Card?

Lastime I was using Aerize Card Loader, to load apps from the memory card
This will save lots of space in the device
Like me, using OS6 on my Bold2 9700
Remaining memory only 60mb++

For cosmetic reason, I'd ask about the eyecup (which is formed by 3 different pieces, attached to the OVF) last time but I'd forgot where to find it

I think its from Shashinki.com but I forgot which-ahat to buy..

I kno I should ask this in the Nikon thread but I just wana pull attantion to other brand also, who may have done the same mod to their camera

image files automatically hidden

Hi everyone~

Dua to some over heating problem (http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=25&t=1933062&st=) I decided to get a new laptop a week ago..
I ordered it online from Dell and the laptop arrived few days back..

I'm running on Windows7 Home Premium 64bit with Picasa as default image viewer

Problem is, when I rotate images (in the explorer, using the right click > Rotate Image Clockwose/Counterclokwise) the the files will become 'hidden' automatically..

This happens to files I just transfered from my SDcard
On my older laptop (Win7 32Bit) this doesn't happens (on the same group of pics from the same SD card)..

Is this a system (OS)-specific problem? Or is it virus/malware?

Notebook shuts down after 30min

Hi, I have an old (2 years) notebook
HP CQ45-107AU with AMD Turion Processor

I use it regularly for photo editing and office works..

Last week when I boot it up I don't see the white LED that usually lit up when I plug in the power (using the AC Adapter) but the power does come in and I can turn the laptop on..

But after using for ~30 minutes, the laptop shutdown by itself when I was doing work..

I send it to a pc-shop and the guy there says my processor is overheat (he doesn't even touch my laptop)

So u guys have any more idea?
And remedy? How to do more diagnostic test?

MISSING HDD SPACE

when i select all the files in my 2nd partition, it shows only 160GB+ but when i view in my computer it shows something else..

any way to avoid this?
what's eating my drive space?
should i make it secondary partition instead of primary partition?

cannot update firmware

i accidentally wipe my BB9700 upon trying to update the firmware..

and now my pc cannot connect to the blackberry..
with ERROR 507 in BB screen

i downloaded the BB9700 OS6 but then Blackberry Desktop Software says it cannot update the firmware because the device doesnt support the firmware

now downloading 0S5 back...
