Maxis Fibre: The Catch

I'm not sure if people have came across this situation or not, but here is my story. I believe there is a catch behind the usage in MAXIS FIBRE internet.

I've recently installed Maxis Fibre @ 10Mbps on July 20th, less than a month ago. So they say in the brochure, the package offers an unlimited quota. But as you may know, the implemented quota for 10Mbps package is 100gb.

I'm a heavy internet user, and by heavy I mean i believed i have used up more than 100gb quota as of yesterday and i realized that my speed today is slower than usual. So i started testing my speed on speedtest.net and this is what i got:

This is normal speed test for 10mbps and i thought hmm maybe its my computer but then i realized this is untrue because i have multiple computers/laptop and every single one of them produced the same outcome.

amongst my test were running multiplayer online game and test download files

I'm heavy cod4 player and i play in malaysians server, for all that know, with my speed I get about 18-25 ping. BUT today i got above 100+ ping. THE ONLY REASON FOR THIS WAS BECAUSED THEY THROTTLED THE SPEED DOWN.

The test download files showed that my download speed stayed around 50-53kbps. Yeah, i'm starting to realize the truth.

I have read that Maxis throttle down your speed to 512kbps once you reach over your quota, okay fair enough, but what i'm not happy about is that the speed test contradicts this. WHY does the speedtest from speedtest.net states that my current speed is at around 10mbps?! then i realized that the host server is MAXIS and OH this is the catch. They somehow managed to alter this and fool me into thinking that my speed is still at 10mbps.

Maxis oh maxis why you have to do this, just tell straight on to me that you throttled, no need to fool me in speedtest.net.

Well this is what i believe to be true. Now hopefully in 10days i will get back my usual internet speed.

Edit: I dont use torrents or any p2p, i've heard they throttle speed for this, but this isn't for my case because i dont use it.
