http://forum.lowyat.net/ Fri, 12 Jun 2026 19:09:22 +0800 FeedCreator 1.7.2 http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2739681 hi guys, i really need some career advices here. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://static.lowyat.net/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> <br /><br />i have just completed all acca exams in february this year.<br />yes time to hunt for a job now.<br /><br />i have been offered a chance to work in one of the big 4 (outside KL)<br />given its size is not that big, the manager told me i would have the chance to gain the knowledge of both audit and tax (ie. doing audit and tax audit) in a few years time.<br /><br />on the other hand, im thinking of working in a bank in KL or Singapore is a good choice because im interested in investment banking/corporate finance.<br />btw, i have got a bachelor degree in finance from uk uni.<br /><br />i know the most important thing is the long term goal when u start a career.<br />if eventually i would like to start my own business or take over the business from my dad after 3-5 years, which one do u think is the better choice?<br />is the knowledge of audit and tax really important in managing a business? (choice 1)<br />or the exposure in big city which give me an insight into corporate world is more important?
