Laptop (Spoilt onboard sound card)

Hello sifus,

I have checked with a computer shop and confirmed that my mobo's onboard sound card is faulty and therefore no sound.

I would like to ask whether i can get the sound back using my graphic card's integrated sound without the use of an external monitor/TV?

Spec: ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5145 Graphic Card.

P/S: I would like to know the answer to the above question before resorting to USB sound card. Thank you in advance.
