pc problem

hi guys, my pc is having problems starting..

when i tried turning it on, the only thing that move is the cooling fans. it turns for a split second (its like just turning on the pc) then everything shuts down. mobo light is still on though.

after a few days leaving it untouched, then the problem just vanishes and i can use it for weeks or months then it happens again, then i leave untouched for a few days then no problem again.

rinse n repeat, i have checked the temp n all, all normal.

but i just dont know whats the problem causing the 'temporary total shut down for few days' thingy.

p/s : last year, when this happened, i brought the pc to imbi plaza to check, then all of a sudden my PC works as if no problem like that, then it didnt have any problems at all until recently on tuesday (6th march), then just now bout 7pm (today) pc turned on again, then after using half way..it totally shut down. and now i cant on it, same problem as always

really grateful if could pinpoint some factor causing this, maybe i can check n tukar tukar something with the other pc thank you sifus

i live in subang so preferable if its in subang, if not then KL, im not familiar with the roads in other places

i think the gc is ati x550 but when i insert into my windows 7, it was detected as x300/x550/x1050 but the sticker at the gc was written HM550L so err...yeah

Mic Volume Problem

Im using sb live 24-bit soundcard (yeah i know its old, plan to change soon) and i just did a fresh install for 64bit windows 7

so the problem is this, b4 this i was using windows xp sp2, and for example; if im in vent or msn for video call, the microphone volume auto increases and im too loud. normally i just set like 9%...then when i checked it, it auto jumps to like 90-100%

and now in windows 7, same thing happened...Microphone Properties > Levels, i drag down to 10 then it jumps back to 100

so whats the real problem here? my headset (somic and gamecom377) or my soundcard?

help appreciated thanks

i dont know what happened, i was chatting at msn (no files transferring or whatsoever) then suddenly the icons just changed and i scanned with kis2009 but no virus no nothing...restarted my pc as well and let if off for like 5 mins..but sigh how? any help or solution? thanks

Auto Rotation Error

Hi, I just bought a new pc and monitor and everytime i start my pc, it pops out

"Your display driver has changed, The Auto Rotation feature needs to reinstall the rotation driver. If this message reappears, please update your display drivers. Please re-install now"

any idea what is the problem? ive updated the driver for my graphic card and monitor already...please help thanks

i went lowyat today and i went every single shop asking for Biostar TA790 GTX and the only shop that has it is Viewnet but they said for almost more than a month already they didnt have stock for it

they recommend me to take MSI KA790 GX since they dont have Biostar...so which is better? Im buying x4 940 BE, any sifu's can list out pros n cons between the biostar and msi?

Ok so i went lowyat yesterday to survey the price for my rig and the only shop willing to explain stuff to me are viewnet and Aforce...

i never really heard about Aforce before but the staff there are friendly, any of you sifu's got any experience dealing with Aforce??

ok, back to the question; is xfx 260 gtx the same as galaxy 260+ gtx?

viewnet selling the xfx while Aforce selling the galaxy which id prefer for? if im in the wrong section, mod please move thanks

Ok Im bout 10 bars away from reaching 80 and I still dont know should i go holy or retri coz when in bc, retri pally is not that demanding compared to holy but now they changed their judgement mechanism and can do very heavy dmg

holy still good but id prefer to dps than stay behind heal...so what u guys think of retri pallys in wotlk now? any advise?
