iPad Mini won't Turn on

Just curious if anyone else has seen this problem. My daughters iPad mini now won't turn on. At first i figured it was an extremely dead battery so i plugged in my 12W iPad 4 charger overnight, still nothing. We have tried hard reset, going into DFU mode and nothing will turn it on.

Over in the Macrumors site it appears to be an issue, just wondering if anyone else has seen this and how to go about a replacement?

Iphone 5 reception any better?

For those that do have the iPhone 5 here in malaysia, anyone notice better 3G signal specifically with Maxis? I notice with my 4S that i often switch from 3G to Edge many times during the day, which is pretty annoying. Any feedback how the iPhone 5 compares?
