Help with partition

I am having a bit of trouble partitioning the HD on the MBP. I hope you guys can help me. I would like to reformat the drive and have made a partition entitled "Backup" (see image link above) to store the files I need.

Now, I would like to merge "Macintosh HD" and "Macintosh HD 2" together but it won't do it. I have tried in recovery mode and I have tried deleting Mac HD 2 and pulling down Mac HD. Both methods did not work. Appreciate any help. Thank you and sorry if this problem has been posted in the forum.

files doesn't show up on pc...

Hey... today I deleted all the ".lnk" files in my my hard disk on my macbook. Then when I plugged in my hard disk on a pc, the files are missing. How can I recover it? How can the files show up again? Thanks!!

Can't connect to wireless network

When I go to the wireless network window, I see the network and it says automatic on it. But somehow I'm not connected. If I click connect, it'll say to put on the password. Then the window comes and says waiting for network. After that the window just disappears and put me to "choose a wireless network" window again.

I hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say. How can I solve this issue? Thanks

Hey last time I put 10's on my strat not knowing that it takes 9's. So then my friend said that the neck is bent/curved. I didn't notice this but I'm wondering if this is fixable? Is it expensive to fix?

using photos in Illustrator

Hey I need help regarding photos. Say the end result is 12 x 4 but I'm working on 6 x 2. If I were to use photos on the 6 x 2, will be distorted when it's printed for 12 x 4? Do I need to use live trace in order to make it a vector? I hope that makes sense. Thanks!

cmyk color alter

Hey when I work on Illustrator on my PC, I set it to CMYK and saved it as a .pdf file afterwards. Then I would send it to someone else but somehow the color is altered and washed out. How can I solve this?

Hey I need help. How do you put an outline border in Illustrator? Do you just draw a square/rectangle with black outline and no fill around the graphic? Is there a way to have the border there once the file is printed? Thanks.

securing the network

The company I work with have many computers and they're all on one network. The problem is some kids could be getting on the computer and go to the network and see all the shared file. Is there a way that I can prevent that?

Hey the idiot that I am was transferring a picture from my card reader to my hard disk. Instead of copy, I used cut. Now there are pictures that didn't transfer and it's not on the card reader. Am I doomed? Is there a way to get the picture back?

photoshop brush to flash?

Hey I want to make a banner in Flash but I want to use some of the brushes in Photoshop. Is there a way that it can work? If not, what is the best way? Should I put the brush on photoshop and save it as a .png with transparent background and put it on Flash? I hope that makes sense...thanks.

slow computer

I've done all the registry clean, virus scan, etc...but my PC is still really slow. I reformatted my PC and yet it's still really slow. I'm not sure what's wrong. Here's a scenario:

I would open firefox and listen to music. If I were to open another tab, it'll slow down. If I open my music player to change to a different song, slow down. Like it's about to do the "not responding" thing. When it does go to "not responding", the program won't close. Sigh...I'm thinking of taking it to the shop to look at it. Do you guys think it could be the motherboard or the RAM?

Oh, one time I opened like 5 tabs in firefox and the CPU usage went up to 99%, I'm serious.

Hey guys I'm trying to reformat and install Vista to my PC. When I restart the PC with the cd in the drive, it usually say "press a button.."; you know, to get inside the CD. But I don't get that message. Same thing also with my windows XP cd. Do you think it's the CD or my hardware?

Can't transfer to HD

I'm trying to backup all my music and photos into my external hard disk and I'm having problems. First, I get "path is too deep" like midway through the transfer. Then if I want to delete/open the files in the hard disk it would say that "semaphore timeout period expired". I can't even get inside my HD because it says "semaphore timeout period expired". After that a writer delayed showed up as a bubble. What should I do? Should I reformat my HD?
