Assistant principal under probe

PETALING JAYA: An assistant principal of a secondary school is being investigated for allegedly telling some students to "balik India, China."

Deputy Education Minister P Kamalanathan said the ministry was waiting for a report on the matter from officers handling the case.

"If indeed the allegations are true then the ministry will take appropriate action," he told The Star Online.

The teacher allegedly became angry after some students did not participate in singing the Negaraku during the weekly assembly at SMK Engku Husain in Semenyih, Kajang a few days ago.

School principal Abdul Ghafar Kunchi Mohd told The Star Online that the school had reported the matter to the ministry and the Selangor Education Department.

He said a meeting was held on Thursday over the matter with ministry representatives and the school's Parent-Teacher Association where both he and the assistant principal were present.

He declined to comment further saying that the matter was now in the ministry's hands.

PTA president Prof Datuk Ali Hasan lambasted teachers who felt it was acceptable to tell students to return to where their ancestors came from.

"In my opinion they need serious re-training to refresh their minds on acceptable teacher-student behaviour," he said.

Ali said that teachers and educators who were found to racialise education should remember their roles in guiding children.

"The spirit of bangsa Malaysia should be inculcated in them, so they will extend it to their students instead of dividing issues racially."

He said that educators who caused racial issues should be dealt with, regardless of position.

The incident comes shortly after several racially-toned incidents involving schools, including a case in August when a Shah Alam school principal was made to apologise to students for telling them to "go back to India, China or Indonesia".

Another case was that of SK Seri Pristana, where headmaster Mohd Nasir Mohd Noor was accused of being racist after non-Muslim students were found eating their meals in a changing room during the Ramadan month.

IGP: More Malays than Indians arrested

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested over 15,000 Malays as compared to only 3,000 Indian suspects under Ops Cantas so far, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar

He was responding to questions from reporters over claims that the force was racial profiling criminals and only targeting a specific race in their crackdown operations.

"I've heard these slanderous comments. 'Police are racists.' 'Only targeting one race'. This is not true.

"For your information, under Ops Cantas, most people that we have arrested are Malays.

We have arrested 15,000 Malays while only 3,000 Indians have been arrested. How is that racist?" Khalid said on Saturday.

On the recent shootout that killed two Indian men who are alleged gang members in Malacca on Sept 12, Khalid said the officers involved acted appropriately.

"Johor police had issued photos of the two suspects saying they were wanted and that they were violent and armed.

"We managed to track them down in Malacca based on people's information and when we wanted to make arrests, they opened fire.

"If they act violently against us, what choice do we have? Were people expecting us to ‘berpantun’ with them?" he said.

He affirmed that race was not a factor when it came to apprehending criminals, saying "I don't care if you are Indian or Chinese or Malay. If you are on the wrong side of the law, you will be prosecuted." he said.

this pet food seller ,also a breeder ,also online seller..

when i want purchase and ask bank detail , he replied fast

first time i buy from him , he didnt provide tracking number , is ok i not ugent,

after few days he ask me whether i received, a pos express parcel.

2nd time i buy again , when i want buy and ask bank detail, he replied fast,

and this time i ask poslaju tracking number, he didnt replied ,

after 2-3 days only he replied , saying sorry and he bz.

this is 3rd time i buy from him , when buying he is fast. promise today sent but today not give me tracking no.

ask tracking number purposely dont want reply, if not given i will keep waiting for it ,dont know is it sent or not
