Career dilemma

Hi all,

Would like to seek opinion/advice from you guys to solve my career dilemma.

I am currently working as an executive in a Healthcare product company. The working environment is good, friendly colleagues and caring superior. Most important, the flexibility offered by the company, where we can work from home whenever we want. However, the company was not in a good financial position since last few years and thing goes even worst during the pandemic, where there was no increment or bonus in these two years (including this year) and last year, the company decided to reduce the manpower while some of the managerial level staffs suffered paycut. Of course, business as usual for now, but worry if the company can still survive in a long run.

Recently, I was offered with a government post (research officer, grade Q41), however with only about 60% of my current salary. Considering the job security, pension, gratuity that this job could offer, I found myself in a dilemma in deciding if I should leave my current job and opts for this offer. The housing/car loan installment and other commitments will be heavier on my wife shoulder for at least few years if I decided to take up the new role, which is something I am not sure if it is worth the pain we are going to suffer for few years before I get confirmed and earn promotion. I am 33 years old now, and I am not sure will it be too late for me to enter public service?

Can I know if anyone has anything to share on the job prospect or progression of research officer (Q scheme)?

Processing fee and Puspakom name transfer fee

Hi all,

I am interested to get an used car from used car dealer and he quote me about 4k for loan processing + puspakom name transfer fee. This is the first time I attempt to buy used car and it seems ridiculously high for me, just wanna ask if it normal for being charged for this?

Also, what else should i check on the car, other than the service logbook, condition and etc?

About remanufactured or compatible toner cartridge

Hi all, recently I have purchased and used the compatible toner cartridge. However, the printing quality is not up to par and blur in certain part of printing area. Can I know if there other brand or reputed dealer that provide good quality remanufactured or compatible toner cartridge?

Hi, this topic maybe not so related with the hardware questions and answers, but not sure if anyone know what happened to CEX, seri kembangan? Recently found they seems no longer active in their sales threads and i have tried to PM them a couple of time but no reply from them as well. Today i went to their shop and found out their shop is closed. Just wondering if the company still running their business?
