Marshall MG30fx guitar amp not heavy enuf

i've had a marshall MG30fx for 2 moths plus now.
problem is i cant get it to sound heavier, 4 example i wan heavier palm mutes and greater distortion but i cant get the sound i want.
i wan it to sound like my roland 30x r-fier which is great.
is there any special settings to it?or is the marshall juz not heavy enuf 4 metal songs.. BTW im into heavy metal.
even after hooking it to a behringer ultra metal pedal, it stil does not sound heavy...

why is tis guys??
