My old computer which used XP had the same problem but once I turned off the Automatic Updates as well in the registry, it turned okay. I tried the same thing (only turn off Windows Update) with the Vista but the crash still occurs. I don&#39;t get the BSOD though. Tried Event log as well but couldn&#39;t find any clue about these crashes. However I&#39;m starting to think McAfee is the culprit of this thing <!--emo&:unsure:--><img src='http://static.lowyat.net/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='unsure.gif' /><!--endemo--> <br /><br />I&#39;m going back to the shop tomorrow to repair, since it&#39;s still on warranty.
