Acer Travelmate or... (im going overseas study)

I've always doubted the quality of acer (due to the cheap plasticky design and its reputation), but it seems the travelmate is different.

i would have liked a dell vostro 1200 but im not sure of a few things if i buy from the web
1. i have to deal in Ezypay (from maybank), can i use it?
2. ETA of package? im leaving in less than 2 weeks and i have heard of some horror stories.

IF can Ezypay.. then confirm vostro.

but if cant, i need a few suggestions. The hp tx1000 looks tempting but i don't like the proc+screen too much.
Never purchased a laptop in my life... im leaving my 8800 GTX at home so my sis can use it to surf the net, lol.

anyways.

looking for
1. 12" screen
2. less than 2 kg
3. will be doing surfing and typing mostly, studying sociology
4. less than 4k
5. reliable international warranty. *IMPORTANT*

sigh, if only sony was cheaper.
Insomnia!

I cannot sleep during exam periods. During the uptime i may pick up my books but im feeling VERY tired, so it means i cant study during that period. The problem is i dont feel tired until its about 2 hours before the exam hall, but before that i feel fine.

its been like this for the past 3 semesters! Someone help me out, my mother wont let me buy sleeping pills from pharmacies (do they even sell them?).

I tried wanking and warm milk too. At the same time.

ADSL light on and stable

: it happened 2 days ago when i was playing game online then it suddenly dc. I am able to connect to my streamyx account but i cannot upload or download. I am using a D-Link 500t, and i am positive it is in 100% working condition. There was no rain or lightning when i was disconnected.

The ADSL and the other lights are stable as they should be. When i log into my router i can see my IP address etc (which changes with every reconnect i do; however it is always at the 60.52.x.x range, but ive been using it for the past 2months without any problems).

I cannot ping any websites or do a tracert as it couldnt even resolve the site. Basically i am connected to streamyx, but it is the same as not connected

I called the help line; mailed CEO. This is the 3rd day and tech haven't called me. What should i do?

Did you guys get this problem before? What did you do?
