Cannot send email with .eml attachment using OE

Hi all,

I am using Outlook express to send & recieve my email. Currently i found an error when i intended to send an email with .eml attachment. The error responsed:

I have disabled my antivirus to scan all the incoming and outgoing mail. I also tried to send with other types of attachment (eg: .xls, .zip, .jpg) and all of them work! I also tried to use the another PC with my fren email account to send this type of attachment, and it works too!

[Solved] Scheduler/VB6 program running in Fedora

Hi all,

I have made a vb6 porgram, it is running without any error in windows platform. However, i want it to be run at Fedora too. I run my program with Wine Windows Program Loader in a Linux pc, but the program stuck with an error message:

Run-time error '429':
ActiveX component can't create object

I thought it was the error message because of missing some dll/reference files, so I tried to copy all those related .dll & .ocx file into my wine file. (Just copy and paste into the system32 of wine, no regsvr32 statement to register the .dll as what we always do in Windows.) However, all my efforts are in vain. I not sure what is the cause of this error. Anybody can give me a hint on this issue?

p/s: My purpose to run the vb6 program in linux is because I want to make a scheduler in linux pc so that this program can be run once per day automatically and send email. Any suggestion on how to achieve this also are welcome. I am lost... Many many thanks!

help.. Any Event Scheduler in phpMyAdmin?

Hi all,

I am a new user for phpMyAdmin.

Before that, I created my database in my own pc using SQLyog. I also created an event scheduler so that it can delete records which are older than 60 days automatically.

Now, i backup the whole database as sql dump and import into phpMyAdmin. However, I cant find where is that event scheduler was located.

I tried to run a query: SET GLOBAL eventscheduler = ON; but the system returns me:
#1193 - Unknown system variable 'eventscheduler'

I tried to run the query to create an event as below:

I checked in the Server variables and settings for my database in phpMyAdmin, there are no "event scheduler" in the list.

Hi all,

My pc is currently running Windows XP SP2. Today when I start my computer, it cannot enter the windows XP. Everytime it will show a blue screen before restart. (It was too fast and I can't read what is written in the blue screen.)

I tried to put in the Windows XP disc so that I can do a repair. However while the disc is inspecting the pc, it showed :
INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 18640
Then I am forced to quit the setup.

Any help please?

ListView Control with double column header?

Hi all,

I need to fill a listview according to the database record. However, the records is many and that means i will have a long listview with horizontal scrollbar. I need to construct a listview which are more readable by the user as illustrated in the picture i attached, it means that the listview will have 2 rows of header.

It is a headache for me because as most of us know, the list view is as below:

I did think of adding the LABELs above the listliew to achieve this purpose, but the problem is, my list view is long horizontally, if the labels are added, they won't move together as I pull my scrollbar. They will keep on static there.

Any helping hands?

Microsoft Outlook 2007 cannot receive email

Hi all,

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2007. My outlook can send an emai but cannot receive anyemail.

Since yesterday, I found out that I can't receive any email any more! I try to send a testing email to other email accounts (hotmail, yahoo etc), and I can receive them.

What is the problem?

See the attachment on what i get when i press "Send/Receive" button. I think the errors for RSS feeds will not cause the receiving failure, right?

Send HTML email with Text Boxes

Hi,

I want to make a send email function which display Text Boxes in the email content so that my receipents can fill in accordingly. However, besides the auto-generated Text Boxes, the sender also need to type-in some information before the mail is sent out. So once I click on the "EMAIL" button in my vb form, the Text Boxes and some information is auto-generated. The sender is able to see these info+TextBoxes before he/she clicks SEND to send the email out.

My Problem:
1) Initially i did it with CreateObjebct("Outlook.Application") to automate Microsoft Outlook application. It works by i construct the Text Boxes and info and put them into HTML tags. However the users only have Outlook Express but not Microsoft Outlook so this method is out.

2) I tried another method which I send Email With MAPI Components. However, I had been told that MAPI doesn't support HTML email

3) Now, i used vbSendMail.dll and SMTP server to send the email since it support the HTML. However, it displays the HTML tags and it is hard to read by users whose dont know about HTML since they need to type/add on information to the email content.

Any idea on what will be the best solution for this probem?

Hi all,

I need to configure 2 email accounts on the same computer using the Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

What I had done is I created another profile and configure for my second account. Everything works find I can send/receive from my outlook.

For my case, once I click on Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 icon, it will prompt to select which profile to be used, once I click on either one, it straight away log me in with asking for password authentication. The main problem is, I wish to have password enter before I can get access to the outlook with the account of mine. How can I make it?

I have created a DataReport. However, each row of my report should have their respective .pdf file. It means that, my DataReport is the same like any others report, but if the user clicks on any row of it, I want it to trigger to open a .pdf file. How can this trigger happen by using DataReport? For what I have checked, we cannot put any button or link inside the report to connect to my .pdf document.

I am running vb6 program on my pc which the MySQL database is located at another pc (fedora) connecting in the same LAN. I wrote the connection string correctly:

"FIND NEXT" function?

Hi all,

I am currently developing a "Find" function to ease the application's users while facing with bulk data.

From the main page, I have a FIND button which will prompt a FIND child form. After user entered the keyword and click on FIND NEXT on the child form, just assumed the database returns 10 records. So, in the main page i will display all the data for the first row of returned data. If user click on FIND NEXT again, main page will show the second row, then third row, forth row, etc.

How can i make it with vb6 ADODB.RecordSet?

I am trying to upload a file to my file server using VB6 without FTP, HTTP.
What I want to do is, user can attach a file, then the CommonDialog will prompt user to select the source file, after that, the file need to save to a destination path

Hi all,

I am going to register for my new vehicle number from JPJ individually. (without the help of my car salesman because I want the plate number from my hometown) The salesman just told me to submit the RM10 service charge inside a envelope, together with the amount needed in draf bank/wang pos(I want to book for a number I like. ), photostat version of IC and driving license, and then submit to the JPJ.

Is the above procedures correct? I need to make sure everything since I just have only one day to settle for it at my hometown. Besides, when can I know whether my request is approved or not??
