It’s always amazing to witness at artist who embraces one of their greatest limitations, turning it instead into one of their greatest advantages. For Korean artist JeeYoung Lee the question was how to utilize her small studio space in Seoul measuring 11.8′ x 13.5′ x 7.8′ (3.6m x 4.1m x 2.4m) that was proportionally miniscule to the scale of her boundless imagination. Instead of finding a new location or reverting to digital trickery, Lee challenged herself to build some of the most elaborate sets imaginable for the sake of taking a single photograph.

These surreal and dreamlike images are the result of Lee’s determination to share stories from her own life as well as various Korean fables by completely manifesting everything you see in reality. Lee labors for weeks and months to create the aspects of each scene complete with a multitude of handmade props, suspended objects, and unique lighting requirements, all of which might normally be ripe for the use of Photoshop that could shave weeks off production time—however the artist shuns all digital manipulation and instead focuses on creating even the most minute details by hand.

HERMITAGE, Tenn. - A Hermitage couple cashed in big during a routine trip to their local McDonald's, reports Emily Luxen of CBS station NewsChannel5.

Instead of their normal breakfast order, they drove away with something much more valuable -- thousands of dollars in cash.

The cash, which was about to be deposited at the bank, had been placed in a McDonald's bag, and was placed by the drive thru orders. An employee mistakenly passed the bag with the cash to Greg and Stacye Terry.

"My husband opened the bag and discovered the money inside," said Stacye Terry. "He said, ‘You are not going to believe this.' Sure enough, it was their bank deposit money."

The Terry's said they often visit the McDonald's on Lebanon Road and have never had anything like this happen before.

"This will never, ever happen again in our lifetime," laughed Greg Terry.

The McDonald's employee discovered the mistake quickly and was able to catch up with the Terry's at their home just minutes away. They immediately returned all the money, without hesitation.

"The second that he said it was their deposit, my first thing was let's get in the truck and take it back," said Stacye Terry. "There is no other way to have it. I couldn't live with myself."

McDonalds Owner and Operator Phil Gray issued this statement in response to the Terry's actions: "We are grateful for this customer and the action they took upon realizing our error. We are looking in to why this mistake happened, but what is most important to us is knowing that we are part a community with the values that were evidenced by this person's actions."

Both Greg and Stacye said they got a good laugh out of the experience and even posted some photos of the money on Facebook.

"We'll be back. We'll be back," said Greg Terry. "But, next time I'm sure we'll leave with our normal breakfast order."

Cat Moo Moo survives crossbow to the HEAD!

A cat in New Zealand is lucky to be alive after being shot in the head with a crossbow.

Owner Donna Ferrari saw her four-year-old cat, Moo Moo, from Wainuiomata, hiding in the bushes with an arrow through his head.

She took Moo Moo to the Wainuiomata Veterinary Clinic.

"They said they've never seen anything like it and called (the Massey University Veterinary Teaching Hospital)," Ms Ferrari said.

Moo Moo was operated on late Monday while Ms Ferrari went to look after her three-year-old daughter.

"They rang when we were driving back to say they had removed the bolt," she said. "I'm sick to my stomach. Hopefully the person responsible is caught or feels so much hatred from the community that they never do anything like it again."

Vet surgeon Dr Jonathan Bray said Moo Moo is extraordinarily lucky.

"The bolt went in just above the eye but was a glancing blow across the cranium so didn’t actually impact on brain tissue at all," he said. "It was really just a matter of opening up the track so we could clean up the contamination so it would heal up okay.

"There was a little bit of injury to his nose and eye socket, but he’s an extraordinarily lucky cat. The velocity of the bolt hitting him would have been quite frightening, so he’s very brave," he said. "He’s very well this morning – bright and happy, the wound is doing fine and he’s got nothing that is going to cause him any long-term harm."

Hong Yi, who goes by the nickname ‘Red’, is a Malaysian artist-architect. She was given the nickname because her name, Hong, sounds like the word ‘red’ in Mandarin.

Red’s grandparents and father left Shanghai in the ’60s during the start of the Cultural Revolution and moved to Sabah, Malaysia where she was born and raised. Growing up, she heard stories about how life was like for them and her relatives in China, but never thought much about it.

After graduating from university in Australia, she took up an offer to work for Australian architecture firm HASSELL in their Shanghai office, and was completely taken with the city, with its special structures and tensions, its unique history and culture. This inspired her to start on creating art using local everyday materials she found in China as her medium. Known as the artist who ‘loves to paint, but not with a paintbrush’, her works have been featured by media around the world including Huffington Post, Wall Street Journal, ABC, CNN, NBC and the Daily Mail. Her works have been viewed by millions on both Youtube and Youku. She has worked with clients such as Hewlett Packard, Unilever, Nespresso, AT&T, BBDO, Esquire and Astro, was invited as a presenter at the 6th and 7th EG Conference in Monterey, California, at TEDxkl 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, at the APEC Young Entrepreneur’s Summit 2013 in Beijing, and lectured in design universities Domus Academy and NABA in Milan. She was named Esquire Magazine’s ’12 Brilliant Malaysians’ of 2013 and given Perspective Global Hong Kong’s 2013 ’40 Under 40 Designers’ award.

The City that Banned Cycling

Every morning Raju Sapui cycles to his employer's home in the eastern Indian city of Calcutta.

Mr Sapui works as a driver, but like most people in this teeming city, he cannot afford to buy a car or two-wheeler to commute.

But things have suddenly turned difficult for Mr Sapui.

In a surprise move, authorities have recently banned cycles - along with hand carts and other non-motorised vehicles - from 174 key roads and streets in the city during the day.

"This is making my life very difficult . Every time I get on my cycle I am scared that I will be fined as I have to break the law and go on some of the banned roads to get to work," says Mr Sapui.

He is not the only one who is unhappy about people being told to get off their bikes.

Commuters make more than 2.5 million trips on bicycles in Calcutta every day. It is also the only major city in India where the number of cycle rides is greater than the number of car journeys.

So, at a time when most cities across the world are encouraging their citizens to get on their cycles, why are the authorities in Calcutta telling people to get off them?

The answer, according to the police, is the growing traffic.

Calcutta may have less cars than the cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai but its narrow and congested roads cannot cope with the different types of vehicles that use them.

Cars, cycles, buses, auto-rickshaws, motorbikes, cycle-rickshaws, hand-pulled rickshaws and tramcars jostle for space.

Average traffic speeds are down to 8mph-11mph (14-18kmph), compared to India's average of 13mph (22kmph).

"There is just not enough space for all kind of vehicles," says Dilip Kumar Adak, deputy commissioner of the city's traffic police department.

"Cycles slow down traffic and removing them will make the streets safer and traffic speedier.

"It's not a blanket ban. People can still cycle on smaller streets."

No wonder cyclists are up in arms against the new rules.

Cycling groups have launched what they have called a cycling satyagraha (people's movement), pushing their cycles through the city and organising protests against the ban.

"The new laws are crazy," Gautam Shroff from one such group, Ride 2 Breathe, says.

He feels "pollution is increasing every day here so we should be encouraging people to take up cycling".

"Instead we are punishing them for helping improve the environment."

Mr Shroff describes the police claims that the new laws will make the streets safer as "nonsense".

"If cyclists are a nuisance, so then are pedestrians, motorcycle riders and car drivers. Why does the government not take them off the roads?"

For Mr Shroff cycling is a hobby. For many others in the city, it's the only way they can get around.

The police have already started fining those who are cycling on the main roads and have warned persistent offenders that they will confiscate their bikes.

But if you walk or drive around Calcutta you will still see many cyclists on the city's major roads. Like Raju Sapui.

"I will continue to use my cycle until the authorities take it from me. If they want me to stop riding, maybe they should buy me a car," he says defiantly.
