Loopers, Sequencers, MIDI Modules, Triggers, etc

There is a recording thread here, but i am more concerned about live usage of these things. I am aware of software loopers and sequencers, but not so hot on the idea of bringing a laptop on stage.

I decided to start experimenting with these gadgets after I decided to quit looking for a drummer. Decent drummers are hard to come by here *sigh*. So basically the plan is to make drum loops and synth bass loops or even ambience pads and background sound. I also need to be able to switch between loops accurately (preferably with foot switch).

I was just wondering if any of you guys out there have experiences with loopers and sequencers. And also MIDI modules with nice strings and ambient patches. I have only heard of the DigiTech JamMan, but that is rather limited. I need to be able to store more tracks than just 2.

Live PA Systems

I did a search and found only a recording thread so i start a new thread for PA for live situations. Redirect me if something like this already exists.

I stumbled across the ILive system by Allen & Heath today and was wondering when they are bringing it out on the market. It was introduced at the AES Convention sometime in 2005 and i can't find much information about it especially pricing. Any PA guys know about this system?

Any PA people here in the first place?

Help appreciated. Thanks

Foreign language Band?

***Paste from other topic:***

I am currently in munich and was wondering:

To all you rockers out there: Would you attend a concert (old shcool 70s 80s rock, blues, psychadelic, gothic, funk, soul) although u wont understand a single word their saying? Is the text important when you guys listen to todays pop/rock songs?

I was just wondering if a german band (i assume maybe 90% malaysians don't know german?) would get an audience if they were to tour malaysia. Don't have to make it big or anything, just gather maybe a mediocre fan base, maybe earn some extra money.

What are your opinions? Just be direct. Will post some samples too after getting the green light from the composer.

***Thanks alot for taking the survey***

EDIT: Oh just remembered that we already have a midi sample on the net here. It's in german but just scroll down and u will see the song title "Komm heraus aus deinem Schneckenhaus". Right of the song title u can click the loudspeaker logo and listen to a short free sample of all the 3 songs listed there. Or you can download the first song ("Komm heraus aus deinem Schneckenhaus") for free. Let me know what u guys think. Thanks again!
