Enter bios setup everytime turn computer on...

Hello everybody...my problem with my computer is...the computer will always starts by showing the bios and want me to specify the speed of my processor whenever i turned on my computer..the bios will show me the lowest speed for my processor but i manually select the standard for my barton 2500+ which 1.8ghz...then i save and exit and it will functioning normally but i need to set up the date and time all over again..
this thing dont occur when i restarting my computer but only occur if i shut it down and then i turned it on...so, bcos it such a hassle i left it on for 24/7 and only restarting it for updates or software installation..can somebody show me whats wrong with my computer bcos my computer contribute alot to my electricity bill due to this and im afraid im going to stress the cpu (already on my third psu) in 2 years...
