PCI-IDE Problem

Hi guys,

I've got this weird problem whereby whenever i try to use my ide HDD through a pci-ide card, windows wont load at all.

heres the scenario.

was previously using 4 IDE HDD. 1 primary and another on secondary. then i decided to add 2 more ide using the pci-ide card. all working fine..pc can boot up and load the os.

i've now decided to get 1 sata2 hdd and made it primary and have formated that previous primary ide hdd.
the configuration goes, sata primary os, then i hooked up the ide and a dvd rom to the computer.

so..this all goes well..sata is primary and everything working well.

now when i add back the pci-ide hdd back. bios can detect all the hdd. boot up sec is set to the sata.
but after detecting the pci-ide hdd..com just hangs there. but if i remove the pci-ide card..computer boots up normally.

confirmed that theres no problem with the card or the ide hdd as i've tested them on another pc and it works fine. i've checked double check and even triple checked the hdd jumpers and such.
i've installed the latest drivers for the pci-ide card.

any ideas?

im using a winxp pro os, 3gb ram, amdx2 4200++, power supply is the 450w standard psu.

hi guys,

i recently applied online for streamyx. application went thru and the status is " installation in progress".. Im just wondering how long normally before i can start using the streamyx...and..will there be any notifications when the line is up?? cuz i checked the streamyx account , seems to be setup already..can even login to webmail and the tmbill... any ideas guys ?? its been a week already.
