Suitable plan when buying a smartphone!

Hello, everyone! I'm a new member here and I have a few questions on the plans involved to get the S2.

I went to the Digi centre in town yesterday to inquire about it. The person at the counter said that I don't need so much data since I'm only a student so he suggested the plan with 3gb. Right now, I'm interested in the DG Smart Plan 68 since I rarely call or text and mostly use the internet. Is this plan suitable for someone like me? I know Maxis has a wider coverage but I'm afraid when I exceed my data usage they'd start charging me, while Digi throttles when you reach your data limit. I'm a Maxis/Hotlink prepaid user and the charges are pretty high as it is.

I'm still a student so I'm trying my best to get the most when buying a new smartphone I only use the internet for the usual stuffs like Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Whatsapp, etc. when I'm out. I'm still somewhat confused since I'm new to all of this and this will be my first smartphone, so yeah :3

Any other suggestions/questions are welcomed, thank you!
