Hi forumers, I have seen the ad of LUMOS Projector constantly appearing in my FB feed. Is anyone using it?
I am interested to get one for my bedroom to watch English Premier League football.
The price is really attractive. RM999 for the Regular version (without Netflix and YouTube) and RM1,298 for the Smart version which comes with the 2 mentioned app.

At this moment, I am watching football using Astro Go from my iPad.
I have tried to screen mirror it to my TV in the living room but the app restrict it.

So I am wondering whether this LUMOS projector can screen mirror Astro Go's content or not.

Can I dim my downlight using dimmer switch?

Dear Sifus, need some advice here.
I have 2 electrical points in my dining hall, 1 for fan and 1 for downlight.
Similarly there are 2 points in my dry kitchen, 1 for pendant light and 1 for downlight.
Both areas are located next to each other.
At times, I find that the downlight is too bright (18w each). Can I change the downlight switch into dimmer to control the lighting power?

Need opinion - how to cover the sides of backyard

Hi all,

The below photos are from my backyard where I have installed a new awning. This is meant to be my laundry and chilling area. During rainy days, rainwater splashes in from the sides. I am considering to install either the following:

1. transparent polycarbonate (a cheap solution) or
2. aluminum louvers (aesthetically better looking but higher cost - Weng Cheng Aluminum in Sg. Buloh quoted me RM2,600 for both sides)

Any other suggestion that you guys can offer pls? Or any supplier in this business that can offer me a piece of good advice? Thanks

Dear forumers, I am looking to build a new wall for my wet kitchen and guest room. Can anyone advise me how much per sq ft am i looking at? I am looking at a finished wall with plaster (window to be supplied by me). Thank you.

Kitchen sink and gas stove on the same countertop

Hi forumers, I am currently doing my first ever house renovation. Last night, I was told by my relatives that kitchen sink and gas stove cannot be located at the same countertop. According to Chinese belief, this is not good especially for the woman who cooks in that house. One of the relative even shared her real life experience where her daughter who has the same arrangement in her house constantly fell sick. Like to ask for opinions:
1. Is there such belief?
2. I have fabricated my wet kitchen’s countertop using concrete and will be tiling it soon. My kitchen sink and gas stove will be located some 2 feet away. What can I do to manoeuvre around such belief.
