[Question] How to setup a student council

Happy Morning everyone,

I've a might-be-complicated question here.

Is there a procedure in setting up a student council in a new college/university?
Aside from the committees, purpose etc. What I am more interested to know is whether the college/university needs to register with any governmental bodies/registrar of society for the establishment of student council, and any other procedures which needs a 3rd party involvement.

I'm currently doing my thesis on "A study of adolescent bloggers' psychosocial well-being through self-disclosure theory" and I need some help from you guys to aid me in filling up some questionnaires to finish this study and yield some interesting results for the blogosphere and psychology field.

Participants need to be 18-25 years of age, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or whether you own a blog or not.

I'm going to organize an event which involve charity, nightclub culture,cocktails, dance, and assuming there are popular artists and deejay there,
How possible is it to let college/universities students sell tickets for us , and for every 15 ticket sold, they wil get 1 VIP ticket.
Ticket pricing is RM70

[URGENT] Charity Event Organizing

Hi everyone,

I would like to ask,

If I am a university student, and I would like to organize a public charity event, not under the name of my university (i.e. there's nothing to do with my uni), which involves 3-4k participants, and involve liquor, music, etc. What would the normal procedure be?

Such questions would be :
What should the event name goes under? (a company?)
If so, what kind of company should I establish?
What kind of legal aspects would it involve?
etc.

If anybody could enlighten me, please do help.
If its ok for us to meet up for a small yumcha session to discuss about it, I'd be glad to.
