Let's talk treasury

Treasury is a very interesting field and one of three vital departments in finance yet so little people talk about it especially in Malaysia.

First of all, let's clarify to non-finance readers, treasurers are not necessary accountants, in treasury is not our main responsible for book keeping or close accounts.

So what do treasurers do, we raise funds, we control cash flow eventho most companies combine both responsibilities to accountants which imo it shouldn't be that way.

Feel free to share your experience or opinion in this road less taken field.

Financial Analyst vs Transaction Services Analyst

Recently I've gotten 2 offers, one from IBM (as financial analyst) and another from Citigroup (CTSM) (as transaction services analyst). Needless to say both are remarkable MNC and it will stand out on resume no matter which one I choose. But, the question is which one is better. I will be straight to the point, being a financial analyst in IBM would mostly work on forecasting and budgeting, while transaction services (TS) analyst in Cititgroup would assist clients in their best interests on transactions such as acquiring commodities, shares and etc (at least that is how they interpreted to me). I would say being in TS would have more exposure and desirable in operation in the future, on the other hand, financial analyst has always been labelled as one of best entry level job anyone could get in finance major (consider that was how Warren Bufett started according to Benjamin Graham's book). Therefore, if I would say that I see myself to be in a managerial position in finance department (not necessary investment related or the same company) in 5 years. Which one do you think is the better stepping stone or path to go?

Any constructive opinions will help, thank you in advance.

Would it be wise to buy Ipod Touch 5 now?

I've read alot of websites and they say Apple is most likely going to announced Iphone 5S/6 and Ipod Touch Gen 6 this year soon, and there will be slightly cheaper than the previous due the fact they are going to aim Asia's market like Indoneasia.
