Unresponsive external HDD..help!

I accidentally dropped my HDD...but it felt from on top of my desktop case,since it was resting there,and slipped off my hand when i tried to pull the cable attached to the USB port at the front.So now my computer can't detect my HDD and i also can't detect the vibration from the HDD like it usually do when reading data.What options do i have??Where can i go?Who i can send to (for repair)?please let there be good responses,since so many data are kept inside....

the model i'm using is this one:Seagate Freeagent Goflex 1TB ,with the SATA and USB 3.0 compatibility

Please,any advice from tech gurus here are highly appreciated....thanx in advance

It's getting out of control. It happens randomly too. It could be an hour before it happens or 5 minutes. I've tried all the "fixes". Changing sound quality, starting it directly from the exe, editing the .ini file,using the lowest possible setting.None of these work.....
Specs:
ASUS Geforce GTX 680
Intel i5 3550
8gb RAM
Win 7 Home Premium

The weird thing is it happens to all the games that i'm currently playing!!! at first i installed Tropico 4 and the game started to CTD.Later all the games that i tried to launch suddenly exited to desktop without reason.The problem however doesn't affect other non-games related application e.g. internet browser,media player,download manager..what should i do???

Currently playing: Tropico 4,Mafia 2,Space Marines,Dota,Anno 2070,Diablo 3,Skyrim

Hello fellow forumers,

Just got my new rig last Saturday,therefore i started installing all the necessary apps that could help extend the lifespan of my PC.One of them is the antivirus,which is this one:

But then i suffered from a minor problem after installing this antivirus.The matter was that i am using a SSD as my primary drive,(for OS,important apps,utilities).I've noticed that once i installed this,there's a sudden increase in time taken for web pages to be fully loaded and viewed.Even streaming videos on YT takes a longer time than usual.So is this is due to a certain settings in the Antivirus software that cause the delay?Or is it due to other factors?I tried uninstalling the antivirus,and everything went back to the way it was.However,acknowledging the absence of antivirus in my computer worries me over possible infections.What should i do now??

Monitor calibration

Hello my fellow forumers,

Just bought my rig,along with a monitor,DELL U2312HM.Saw in the internet that the pre-calibration done by the manufacturer is not good enough to allow the best display for a monitor in terms of visual presentation.Most calibration softwares that i've looked into and recommended by the authors are not freeware.Since i had already burned a large hole in my pocket,so can u guys advise me on the easiest and most cost efficient way of calibrating monitors for the best visual performance?

Hello sifus...

I need recommendation for a case with the advantage of portability...as i dont have a permanent home as of now,and might move to a different house in 3 weeks time.my budget is around 500 and below.i've got my eyes on the corsair vengeance c70.

the reason i preferred this is bcoz it got these lovely handles that i think would make it convenient to move around.but then,other sifus might have different suggestions on this kind of case...much help is appreciated,thanks in advance..
