How much % is the typical promotion and yearly increment?

For example, promotion junior to senior exec, usually how much increment? And also how much for yearly increment when not promoted?

Please input whatever you know even if it’s just one company you are working at.

Accounts Payable or Full set accounting?

TLDR: Between Accounts Payable in big company and Full set accounting in small company, which one has better pay and work life balance?

I was doing Accounts Payable in a local company, but was switched to General Ledger a few months ago. My position is just Junior Exec and many people in my company stay as Junior Exec or Exec for many years.

I’m okay with Accounts Payable but I loathe General Ledger because even if there’s 50sen difference I have to find like mad. It is very annoying and I hate this job so I’m thinking to move out.

I’m a person who is looking for work life balance due to health issues. I don’t seek a very high salary but I hope to at least achieve 4-5k in less than 10 years. I hope to get a 9-6 job.

So I’m wondering whether I should pursue Accounts Payable in a big company such as Shared Service, or do full set accounting in a small company?

My current salary is 2850 and I just went to an interview just now for Accounts exec in charge of full set and they are willing to pay me 2500 only as I don’t have a full set experience. It’s like my job experience and good results in school/college are totally pointless. 2500 does not even include allowance for parking which would be 170-200. This salary is low for even a fresh grad in PJ.

I only have a degree and it seems like if you don’t grind through the audit path or long hours in some big MNCs, then accounting salary would be stuck at junior level. It seems like it’s not worth to do boring, annoying accounting when other fancy jobs pay bout the same or more. I could be wrong. Please enlighten me.

Anyone else got a call from CIMB offering such promotion? I called and emailed them to confirm the promotion and they say I will get the maximum bonus of 300 in March if i keep 10k in my savings account. Now they twist the story and only give me RM50. Wtf

I don't feel like attending my graduation ceremony. I don't think it is something meaningful or special as everyone graduates nowadays. What more, I think it is a waste of money as I would have to spend RM1k+ for fees, photos etc. I also don't feel connected to my college. Most of my college friends are hi-bye friends whom I don't care about. What do you think about graduation ceremonies?
