I have some old electronics such as computers, home appliances that are old & non-functional anymore, where do you all usually throw them away ?

School branding, dropping out

Hi all, I'm currently stuck in a dilemma,

I am in my 1st year of Uni in Alibaba Business School under Hangzhou Normal University, it is a Bachelor in International Business focused on Cross border e-commerce

While the course is decent, the reputation of the school itself is only so-so, I've always wanted to land a career at big consulting firms & I'm starting to question the name of the school & my chances of making it, I've also considered how the name of the school may affect my future prospects in landing in an Ivy League for grad school. I'm very big on Ivy(s) as I believe they will provide great networking.

I have a chance to drop out & take a different/similiar course in a C9 school (China's version of Ivy League) such as Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong or Zhejiang University & I think these will make my resume shine & increase my chances.

I have a full scholarship for my entire degree currently, applying to one of the C9s may not guarantee me one, however my family is able to support my finances all the way even if I don't

Another factor that is driving all of this is the school's atmosphere, forgive me when I say most of my classmates are incompetent, the environment is not very conducive for personal growth & studying in general, I came from a school full of top achievers so this part is very personal & important to me. However, some of the classes & lecturers are great, we have executives from Alibaba & different entrepreneurs conducting certain classes.

Questions

1) Should I drop out & go for one of the C9s ?
2) How important is the branding of the school towards my career ?
3) Do employers prioritize the name of the school or the degree ?

Please do point out all my problems, I may experience problem blindness and am open to all feedback.

Visa Application

Hi all, I'm going to study abroad in China & my visa duration is 4 years, from 2019 to 2023

However, my passport expires in 2022, question is, will my application be accepted or do I have to renew my passport beforehand ?

I can renew my passport when I'm back in Malaysia during my break, asking this question because I feel that the cost is not justified

Audio Engineering/Music Production

Hi, finished my SPM last year, now awaiting results

Planning to further my studies by pursuing a degree in audio engineering/music production

Checked out a few courses including the ones from UCSI, ICOM & other institutions but most of them offer diplomas, just wondering if there are any other viable options out there ?

What to do during a long break ?

Hi all, just finished my SPM last year, will be starting college around May this year & currently having a long break.

During the first month of my break, I felt content, it was great to not wake up early for school & have more time to myself.

When school was still ongoing, my schedule was rather well planned out, I had time allocated for revision & my hobbies (sports, music & etc) & I had sort of a mental timetable and stuck to it.

At this point, it's almost 2 months since my break started, now with all the extra time, I could have more to spend on my hobbies however that is not the case as I sort of fell into a loop of procrastination, all I did everyday was watch youtube videos & play video games, every day felt very empty & it is starting to hit me.

I have considered working a part time job to fill the time however most retail jobs / F&B require 12 hour shifts that are 5.5 days/week and I don't see the benefits of them aside from a little extra pocket money.

Honestly, I feel like I've hit a wall with my life right now, I don't feel productive at all, days have become very mundane and I do not look forward to every other day

Can anyone recommend me anything to do ? I'm considering volunteer work as I feel like such work could benefit my development as an individual, if so, does anyone know any institutions that require volunteers like myself ? I've checked a few & notably volunteermalaysia.net's website is down.4

Have checked out Inti, overall is fine but campus is a little small, even smaller than my high school

Any other recommendations ?

Beyblade Burst is a new series of Beyblades after Metal Fight Beyblades, the series after the original Beyblade series.
It is a modern beyblade, similiar to gasing that we used to play.
It's from Takara Tomy & has been available in Malaysia since April 2017, you can find them in Toys R' Us, Aeon, Parkson.

It consists of 3 parts, Layer, Disc & Driver, there is no screw to put them together, there is a spring inside the driver & teeth on the layer that puts them together

Unlike the older series, this one is different because it introduces a new mechanic, BURST!
In battle, when 2 beys collide with each other, there is a chance where one of them or both of them will explode, changing the whole game!
