AUSTRALIA or UK for LAW? 2013 entry

Hi fellow Lowyat-ians, I'm an A-levels student right now, and I want to pursue a Law LLB Degree and hopefully be able to become a lawyer.

I'm currently in a dilemma, considering whether to pursue my law degree in the UK or Australia. I'm VERY UNFAMILIAR with how the law degree works in Australia.

-It seems like the Australian Law degree is longer and must be combined with another subject, as a joint degree. Is that true? (Eg: commerce/law joint degree)

-University of Melbourne requires a 3-year undergraduate bachelors degree before moving on to a 3-yr graduate law programme called the Juris Doctor. (Applies only to Melbourne Uni. Which is not qualified to Msia Bar council)

-UK universities only require 3 years for an LLB Law Degree.

-To become a lawyer, do i need to take CPL in Msia, or BPTC in the UK, or another test in Australia?

So many questions, so few people who can answer me. Please help
