3D Software problem

Need some suggestion here. I have an very old faulty laptop, might want to send it for repair. The last times I approached to shop and ask. The guy only tells from experience(never check) that this could be hard disk faulty and it cost RM2xx to repair.
My question is this laptop can do 3D programming stuff like 3D modelling or not. Software used like 3DS MAX, DIRECTX. My uni class is going start, Computer newbie here please help.

Basically, I'm going to buy a mic to record my song. After travelling all the mic information reviews, I found out that USB version of this mic has latency issue. So, I might go for AT2020 + Audio Interface. I would like to know which interface I can couple it up with budget RM1k. Sifus please help!
