(MOST OF THEM)

- Bossy even tho N17. ugh. (the higher the grade the more pig head you'll see)

- Tight deadline but slow as hell in terms of payment and/or service. (if it does not caters to their interest or some cash under the table)

- Bloated budget for project with that always ends with shitty quality.(100k project which 50% goes to "assortments")

- Very outdated and tedious protocol/process, yet it can be bypass if you have the right contacts.

- Extremely low grade web/database server for nationwide usage which curbs to unusability and wastage.

- I'm willing to bet most of the people that have some deal with doing business/tenders will have this issues.

- Dumbed down their citizen to a 3rd world mentality by not easily lettin them go overseas. (especially student)

- Bragging race rights.

- Fuckin vacationeers. (i know its not in the dictionary)

- A good/decent governin/tech system with a bunch of crackheads running it. (imagine giving a 15k fully automated workstation to a cockroach)

- MALAS PEMALAS BANGANG.

Media Center Linux

Hello,

Currently i got a spare first gen i5 pc.

Im planning on setting it up with a flat-screen tv for my mom, as she likes to watch movies and such.

but shes aint computer-savvy, so i thought why not just do a media center for easy navigation.

I need one that hv good navi, good codec support and prolly nice interface(customizable would be awesome).

the only decent media center i found is GeexBox (http://www.geexbox.org/) based on XBMC.

any of you hv good experience or suggestion in setting up something like this? any good pointers perhaps ?

Using PC as wireless repeater

Can a pc that have internet connection be used as a wireless(wifi) repeater?

Converting my central pc as a repeater.

WIFI ROUTER ||------------>>> Main PC (Central) |-------------------- >> PC1,PC2,PC3

The idea is 2 wifi antenna, one as a receiver, and the other as AP.

Im just curious. Is it possible?

Need suggestion for budget rig.

How to resurrect old dead hdd.

i have mayb 9-10 hdd ranging from 2.1gb (bigfoot)-320gb..

all died out with old memories on it. (songs, old games, pics of ex's )

is there anyway i can resurrect it by using any unique homebrew methods? (wont go to data recovery bcause i dont think its worth that much)

sometimes ppl get lucky wheter in gambling or from their ancestor land from afar.

i would open up a petro-pump. buy some pure gold, put it in a bank and get by every year with interest.

Tips on cooling down your MBP

1. Use Cooling Pads
- Theres lots of cooling pad out there. just get one with good ventilation, good size for ur MBP (15",13" etc) and a powerful fan. 2 fans cooling pad is enough for a 15". but more fans mean more noise.

2. Screen Brightness

- reduce screen brightness to the mininum that you are comfortable with. low screen brightness means less heat produce and longer battery life.

3. Fan Control

- Use the smcFanControl to manually control your MBP fan and iStatPro widget to easily monitor detailed information about the temperature of your MBP.

4. MBP Stand

- for better ventilation use the MBP stand such as The iLap , iCurve , Others laptop stand.

5. Try to avoid the Protection Film.

- it can and will make your MBP slightly hotter than normal.

6. Clean your MBP regularly

- once every 2 week. ( i do it once per month when im calibrating my battery)

7. Undervolting (for Core 2 Duo proc MB only)

- Use CoolBook (costs about USD10) to undervolt your processor - (thanks OmniAtlas for the info)

8. Use Flash blocker when surfing

- we know that the use of adobe flash can make our mac temp rise fast.. for that use a flash blocker such as Click-To-Flash for safari. it let you choose which Flash script that you want to enable. (thanks viper-xs for the info)

9. Change your thermalpaste

- applying new thermalpaste can drop your temp about 5c-15c, this one requires professional help as you need to open up your MBP bare.. i dont recommend you DIY unless you really know what you doing. (or if you still under warranty)

my niece is way too addicted.

im using p1 wimax DV-230 modem.

any tips or tutorial on how i can block all others from using such sites?

edit : the LAN port is not working so i have to use wifi.

Linux Mint 10 (wifi problems)

i have just finishd installing linux mint 10 as a dual boot on my win 7 machine. (using bootable USB installation)

after following long and tedious installation procedure. it is done!

but now i have a problems with my wifi connection.

the mint detects my wifi and i can connect to it no problem at all..

but the connection is very slow, (i use p1 wimax btw)

i have 1 laptops runnin on win 7 wifi, and its blazing fast comparing to the mint on my desktop.

tried the 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 dns setting but its not working. still slow like hell.

been searchin around for a good guide but i cant seem to find a good one.

im not about to give up on linux just yet.

anyone care to help?

the last linux i use is Knoppix..
gonna change my desktop to Linux (main) & Win 7 (secondary).

and before u ask.. yes, im willing to learn and get used to the system.
i will most likely use Ubuntu or Fedora. ( bcause this is the famous one) lol
