Hello forumers.
I have a simple question but based on my readings, people suggested different solutions. So I want to know your experiences.
I have been thinking to get myself a media player so I play the movies in my laptop to my tv.
It has a HDMI cable port and my question is:

Do I use a cable converter or I buy myself one of those media player (which I can plug in USB as well) so I can watch my movies on a larger screen?

some said that the cable wont produce good quality transfer or something like that, while I've never heard any feedback regarding these media players (one which cost between rm100-200).

what do you suggest I do?

Postpaid or Prepaid?mxs/digi/celcom?

I am currently using maxis postpaid and i think its pretty expensive..bills around rm80 monthly but i really think my usage is around rm50 only.
and people have been recommending me to get UoX since im under 25..but i worry that i cant switch from post-paid to prepaid to keep my number.

so which is better?
i really want to keep my number.

average usage:
sms = daily around 10 (to various operators)
calls = daily around 5minutes (various operators)

best bet is the one which offers flat rate right?
but which operator?
and prepaid or postpaid?

maxis is getting more expensive and facing tougher competition nowadays. more teenagers are using celcom from my observation.
happy is not that cheap anymore too.

SUGGESTIONS?????

We are having a Child Cancer fund-raising dinner and we are looking for photographers who are willing to volunteer and help us in the photography department. we seriously lack the skill of shooting indoors.

requirements?
hurm, probably ...you can take indoor photos...and willing to spend your time to do it for charity.

i need around 3 photographers only...
1/2 : red carpet

i need a phone that can take good pictures...
by good i meant not the ones with lotsa noise.
stylish enough to become my secondary camera to bring to functions as opposed to my larger dslr(i initially wanted k850i)
helps me to store TO-DO's list and assignments notes..
one which can read PDF files and ppt files preferably..(then i wanted LG KU990 or SE w960i).

touchscreen and has wifi support..a must.

so should i wait for nokia to release their touchscreen device with the new s60 or i just grab a pda phone?

if it helps, im a medical student and i constantly use the dictionary+internet.
budget: less than 2k

Im using creative's zen vision m.
i have my reasons for not using ipod, so suggestions like 'GO GET URSELF AN IPOD' wont be appreciated.

Is there any softwares that let my zvm be recognized as a mp3 player rather than ext hdd?
and for me to transfer songs?

ok.

im afraid that the cracks will affect the lcd.

the twinhead bozos screwed the latch too tight the last time i sent it for repair.

and to replace a new casing will be rm310 as quoted by the twinhead HQ.

so any cheaper solution to my prob other than guna gam kuat?

im one of those still saving my money to buy good camera.

is it true that its better that i get a good mid-end used dslr rather than brand new low-end(entry level) dslr?

i have a few models in mind.

oly - e330 (rm1990 used) and e500(rm1500 used)
nikon - d40 (used rm1700), d40x or d50

budget is rm2000 only.

so far thats the best deal i could find at the moment.

ive read so many comparisons and there are several issues that im concerned with.

1. the second hand values of these cameras (nikon is better?)

2. the dust cleaning system (will it be an important factor?)

3. affordable lenses (if i ever feel inadequate with kit lenses which i doubt will happen anytime soon after i purchase the camera as im gona be very busy with my student life)

4. i love macro shots, playing with lightings and outdoor shots. also preferably low noise pics.

5. i want a light camera (initially wanted s3 is but everybody told me better get a dslr instead)

so...i need

RAXCO made my windows xp crash?

ive installed raxco v8 into the home pc and after leaving it overnight for the first defragmentation, the pc crashed and cant be switched on since.

the pc will go to the start screen and ask if i want to start in safe mode with networking (3 options i cant remember) or just normal startup.

i tried all 4 (3 safe modes options and normal) and after a few seconds the pc restarted itself and back to the start screen which asks to choose which kinda startup i want.

i have windows xp and windows 98.
this happens with xp only.
98 starts up ok but all the files are in xp.
