BB OS 5.0.0.414

http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions...ckberry/soft.do

Recently DIGI released an update for current 8520 to 4.6.1.424 and I have managed to upgrade it. But there seems to be not much changes .

I have searched around and found that there is a leaked version of 5.0.0.414 which is widely available.

Downloaded it ,. Installed it on the BB and lo and behold.

What a big change to the 8520 . Battery power and memory management is so good..and thankfully pretty stable ...

Threaded SMS - with a bubble ..amongst many other things...

So to those who have upgraded what are your views?

Extending power for the 8520

HI morning guys,

I understand that our 8520 's device is not made for long usage and therefore I have to charge like twice a day in order to make it thru the day . Of course without using excessively ..it could go on for 3 days at max....without charging.

Energy saving holster can help extend those gaps of low charge really well and Im looking forward to get one of those. Do you guys knows any place i can get that holster ?

Side track a bit..can i get to know where to get the colourful silicon skin for 8520?

Anyway ...i have to carry a usb charger everywhere ..these days... I wanna check where to get a higher capacity battery for my 8520 to reduce the charging frequency and able to use it longer...?
