Still, confiscating a sock monkey's sidearm? Washington state resident Phyllis May told Seattle's King5.com that she was chastised by a TSA agent over the fact that her stuffed sockmonkey (name: Rooster Monkburn, a takeoff on Rooster Cogburn of "True Grit" fame) carried a toy pistol.

May told King5.com that she and her husband were going through security at St. Louis International Airport when aTSA agent held up one of her bags and asked who it belonged to.

May, who sells customized sockmonkeys online, told the agent it belonged to her. That's then things took aturn for the surreal.

“She said, 'This is a gun,’ ” said May. “I said no, it’s not a gun it’s a prop for my monkey.”

“She said if I held it up to your neck, you wouldn’t know if it was real or not, and I said, 'Really?’ ”
The "gun" is roughly the size of three quarters placed end-to-end. The TSA agent took Rooster's gun and told May that she was supposed to contact the police. May asked the agent if she was kidding, and the agent assured her that she wasn't.

According to King5.com, the agent did not alert the police. May did get the rest of her sewing supplies back. No word on what happened to Rooster's gun, but May was able to see the humor in the situation.

“Rooster Monkburn has been disarmed so I’m sure everyone on the plane was safe,” she said. “I understand she was doing her job but at some point doesn’t common sense prevail?”

Man in Wheelchair Shoots Two Men Robbing him.

Two men entered an Alcoa, TN jewelry store. One of the men jumped the counter and began stealing money from a back room.
As the suspect came back to the front of the store, the owner, who is confined to a wheelchair, shot the suspect in the stomach.
Police responded immediately and were able to apprehend both suspects at the scene.
According to WBIR, the way this played out isn’t a surprise for local police,
“Everybody has a gun permit nowadays,” [Detective] Sanders said. “So, I don’t think it’s safe to assume you’re going to go into a business where there’s not a weapon.”
The store owner was not harmed during the incident and the suspect who was shot is described as being in stable condition at an area hospital.

Tana Clymer, 14, was visiting Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Ark., on Saturday when she found the glittering rock. Its appraisal value wasn’t immediately known, but could be worth around $50,000 to $60,000.

The 3.85-carat canary diamond discovered by Tana Clymer, 14, of Oklahoma City, on Saturday.

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend — especially if you’re a sharp-eyed 14-year-old.

Oklahoma teen Tana Clymer made a stunning discovery Saturday when she came across a 3.85-carat canary diamond while touring Arkansas’ Crater of Diamonds State Park.

The park lives up to its name and is home to more than 75,000 of the sought-after sparklers.

Clymer was with her family and didn’t think much of the rock — with its distinct yellow color — when she spied it in the dirt.

“I thought it was a piece of paper or foil from a candy wrapper,” she told park officials. “Then, when I touched it, I thought it was a marble.”

The Oklahoma City girl said she credits God for helping her find the diamond, which followed about two hours of sifting and searching through the park’s volcanic soil.

Tana Clymer, 14, of Oklahoma City, shows off the 3.85-carat canary diamond she discovered Saturday. The yellow diamond is teardrop-shaped and about the size of a jellybean.

“I was about to sprint to join my family, and God told me to slow down and look,” Clymer added. “Then, I found the diamond!”

The value of the jellybean-sized bling isn’t clear, although the family has stored the prized piece in a safety deposit box.

Park officials say it could be worth tens of thousands of dollars if it’s legit.

The sparkly souvenir that Clymer found is similar to a 4.21-carat rock discovered in 2006. That one was appraised for about $50,000 to $60,000, said Bill Henderson, assistant park superintendent.

“It appears to be of the same quality,” Henderson told the Daily News on Tuesday. “This particular yellow canary will knock your eyes out. The color is so brilliant.”

Tana Clymer’s teardrop-shaped yellow diamond was discovered Saturday. Initially, the 14-year-old thought it was a marble.

He added that Clymer had tears in her eyes when they told her the diamond’s potential value. She said she may turn the diamond into a ring or use it to help pay for college.

Nearly 400 diamonds have been dug up at the 37-acre Arkansas state park this year.

The last high-profile find was in July, when a 12-year-old North Carolina boy plucked a 5.16-carat rock he nicknamed “God’s Glory Diamond.”

Henderson said the “finders, keepers” policy at the park is a big draw for visitors.

“Everyone’s hoping to hit pay dirt,” he added.

An 8 year-old Arizona student is thrown out of school because of his artwork, and his parents are outraged over the move.
The artwork shows a soldier and a zombie. It’s part of a journal entry titled, “Escaping a Killer Zombie,” and it goes on to read, in part: “I’d open the window…but stand back quickly… booby-trapped…shoot the gadget… a rope gun…I’d swing across without getting hit.”
The headmaster of Scottsdale Country Day School says the school’s handbook clearly explains that any drawings that depict weapons are grounds for expulsion.
The 8 year-old boy’s parents are now pulling their son from school, and say the inspiration for his so-called violent drawing came from his Halloween costume

A Chinese woman who has spent her life in poverty is being hailed a hero for selflessly saving dozens of abandoned babies over the course of her lifetime.

According to Chinese newspaper Yanzhao Metro Daily, 88-year-old Lou Xiaoying has rescued more than 30 abandoned babies from the streets of Jinhua, China, over the past four decades.

Together with her late husband, who died 17 years ago, Lou personally raised four of the orphaned children, while others were taken in by Lou's family and friends.

As per latest update Bloated bodies everywhere. Survivors scrounging for food.

I have a colleague from Phillipines. He’s here for past few months now and recently seemed rather distraught. And worst this morning.

Found out that’s because the small town his wifu and 2kids and parents staying there has been wiped out..as in gone. Like the link above…

He’s unable to get in touch with anyone from his family or siblings as of now.

He’s planning to go back to Phillipines this weekend…but some advice him not to do so yet because there’s no food/water there at the moment and transport is totally out. So even if he’s to landed in the airport, he will mostly be stranded on the airport or can only walk to his town, which is very far from the airport.

But then again, I don’t think he can tahan so long until help or rescue effort reaches his town then only go back there.

Which is why I am not one of those asking him to stay put 1st….

Question is, what can I do to help? And fyi…he’s pretty rich so money might not be his concern or something that could help him out greatly.

Problem with GF

Guys I need some advice..lots of advice actually.

I have been together with my gf for past 3.5 yrs. Everything is OK and good.

The only problem is her 2nd younger sister.

Her 2nd younger sister is quite tempting and I am often attracted to her, my eyes I mean. And couple months back, I secretly took a photo of her in a quite seductive position. I have been fapping to the pic and recently, I felt I should stop before something really bad happen. We are quite close coz I go to their house quite frequent so to stop going will be quite difficult. What can I do to avoid my wild imagination about her before my gf find out.

And yes, I have deleted the photo as I foresee it’s gonna be a matter of time before my gf find out if I continue keeping it.

What can/should I do?

At least 14 people have been killed after a powerful typhoon passed close to the Japanese capital, reports say.

Typhoon Wipha caused landslides and flooding on Izu Oshima island, south of Tokyo.

Many people died when houses collapsed or were buried in mudslides. Two were found dead near a river.

At the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant, operators pumped out rain water from around storage tanks holding contaminated water.

In Tokyo, flights were cancelled, bullet train services suspended and schools closed.

"It is the strongest typhoon in 10 years to pass the Kanto [Tokyo area] region," Hiroyuki Uchida, the Japan Meteorological Agency's chief forecaster, told journalists on Tuesday.

'Crackling sound'
The storm brought strong winds and record rainfall - 122mm (4.8 inches) in one hour on Wednesday morning - to Izu Oshima island, which lies some 120km (75 miles) south of Tokyo.

Officials on the island said that 13 bodies had found and more than 50 people were unaccounted for.

"We have no idea how bad the extent of damage could be," town official Hinani Uematsu said.

Local media described mud and debris strewn around houses.
