Why condo in Kepong / Jln Ipoh Cheaper?

I am totally newbie in properties. I just started my research in buy property.

I was looking around in the web and I found that condos in Jln Ipoh / Sentul / Kepong are cheaper than other area like sri petalling / bkt jalil. Is that any reason of low demand in that area? traffic s**k? township no good?

Any other recommendation are welcome

Budget: 300+-, max 350k.
Type: Condo
I am working in IT line, prefer location should be easy to access to City center / PJ / d'sara / TPM / Cyber

Laptop touchpad not working in Ubuntu

Hi folks,

I'm new to ubuntu (and linux) world. I bought a new laptop in the PC fair in mid of April 2009.

The laptop is Toshiba Satellite L310-P406. The laptop is only come with Free-DOS.

As I knew that the latest ubuntu (9.04 - Jaunty Jackalope) is going to release soon (at that time I bought the laptop),
so I did not install any OS into the laptop and waiting for the latest release of Jaunty.

Last weekend, I downloaded Jaunty and installed it into my laptop.
Then, I found out that the TOUCHPAD DOES NOT WORKING! I only can use usb mouse to move the cursor.
Is that any driver / configuration needed to active the touchpad? or that's my hardware problem?
Any folks can share your idea / solution?
fyi, i does not have internet connection at home and i am not free to go starbucks online in this few days.

[WTA]Nokia 7070 does NOT have pinyin Chinese Input

I just bought a AP set (Telstra) Nokia 7070 yesterday.
Normally, I am using english interface.
In this morning, I wan to type a chinese sms to my fren (who is not good in english)
When I want to type in chinese, i change the writing language to chinese.
Then, I found out that there is only 1 chinese (繁体）is available for sms writing.
Its fine to me as I also know to read those common chineses (繁体）words.
The problem occur when I try to write sms, I found that there is NO PINYIN input available!
It only offer me bi-hua (笔画) and taiwanese zhu-yin (注音) input!

My question are:
1. can i (hp shop) install pinyin input to this hp?
2. if pinyin installed, it will break the warranty?
3. shall i send to telstra (the AP distributor) or hp shop i bought this phone to do the installation?

I'm talking abt P2 now.
After reading many forums/threads, I generally know what are the pros and cons to buy P2 car from both dealer and branches.
I have a bit confuse here after visiting P2 website.

There is a list of sales offices, the top four on the list is "Perodua Sales Sdn. Bhd. (xxxx)", others sales office are having their own company name.

My question is: those company (other than "Perodua Sales Sdn. Bhd. (xxxx)") in the list, also consider as BRANCHES ?

from my knowledge, Branches is having a showroom/shop while Dealer is some1 who selling P2 car on without a physical shop (like those "Zero D/P" ads in newspaper).

This is the photo taken by my Canon A420 recently.
The colours is "runaway" !
This camera is just 1yr + 3months; it's running out from it's warranty period!
I'm guessing the sensor is going wrong in my camera.

1. Anyone know what is the real factor that make this error?
2. Anyone know how much is the price to repair it?

RM1700 Guy needs advise

I have join this company as Java Developer for almost 1 year, working in contract-based.
in the contract, i was offered with RM1700 per month (since i was fresh grad that time), and the figure remain same until now ( my contract is running out soon)
I think many ppl are thinking that i'm underpaid, and I also feel the same.
Actually i was thinking to change job before, but this job really can offer me great learning opportunities.

I now trying to saving money (not much, only 200-300 a month due to the low income i having) and hopefully I can buy a car (may be 'kenari replacement model' ~40k) before next CNY. I really hope that I can get a car, because this car will be the first car of my family.

My situation now is, how much I can demand if my boss in my new contract? RM2500, if that too high (if compare with my current salary) ??
I would like to hear some response from you guys.

Hi all,
I plan to buy a car in end of this year.
I will try to put 5k as down-payment, and <Rm500 for monthly installment (lesser is better).
After I calculate, I found out that a car around 40k is the best for my case.
I would like to buy a car which has good FC and low maintanance 4-doors car.
This car would be the first car of my life. I dont hv any knowledge abt car, and my driving skill is like the newbies with P...
I now is thinking on: to buy a new (MyVi or Kenari) car or a used Japanese car.

Need Laws Advise

Hi,

This is a case my friend facing now.
She worked in her current company for 2 months plus, and the management was offered her a permanent post now. According to the offer letter, the management only give 5 (FIVE) days of paid sick leave a year; which is invalidate with the Malaysian Labour Laws (As stated by the law*, it should be 14 days per year). My friend was discussed with the management about this issue; but the management said, "this is company's policy".
So, may I know any action we can take action due to this issue? If we sign such invalidate agreement, is it we are still protected by laws?
