Laptop under 3k

Hi guys, I plan to buy a new laptop and currently looking at a few options under 3k.. will do some gaming with the laptop, it's ok if can't play latest games, as I understand hard to find powerful laptop for gaming in this price range..

So from my research, these 2 with similar spec meet my requirements:
1. asus fx553vd
2. Lenovo legion y520

Both packed i5 7300hq, 2gb gtx1050 but from what I read from forumers here y520 seem to have poor thermal control?? Asus no idea..

If both are also not worth getting is it better to just save a few bucks n just go for hp pavilion 15 with i5 8250u and mx150 instead?

Hi guys, mind to share your opinion on which base model is better, honda city s spec or toyota vios j spec, particularly in terms of reliability, fc n maintenance? Yesterday i bought a cheap mp3 player with 8gb memory card from pc expo mid valley n today i plug my device into usb port of my laptop to charge the device. there is red light with almost unnoticable blinking on side of device when i charging. i have charged the device for 5 hours ady n still there is no any changes on the light. How I knw i have fully charged or not? thanks in advance for any help..
