Remarks : If you are going for the batik patterns and the complication of the cake art, do consider this. But taste wise, it's butter cake.

1) Cadbury
Remarks : Super rich cadbury chocolate. Extra yummy!

2) Strawberry Chocolate
Remarks : It tastes like pure chocolate, but with a tint of strawberry. Quite nice =)

3) Sisik Ikan
Remarks : It's a mixture of sweetness and sourness. They use masam manis idea to create this type of layer cake.

Fund for single mothers

Hi! I would like to know how to apply for the fund for single mothers under either gov or private(if any) .

Im a single mother, have a 6.5 month old baby to care for. I am currently jobless as a SAHM (stay at home mom) and need a fund to start up a business. Have a very small business already but need more fund from authority to assist as I have a growing baby to raise, would need money to pay for rental, expenses, car loan, etc etc..

Would appreciate feedbacks. Anyone knows how to apply for the JKM fund for single mothers?

Hi ! I want to ask any lawyer here or anyone here with experience..

If a woman has a baby with a man, but he never signs any ROM paper with her, so the baby follows the mother surname.

If the child 5 year old already, or at any age, can the man seek custody or right to claim back the child ? Will the mother lose the child ?

Confinement and travelling/going out

Hi everyone.. Im now doing my confinement .. counting the days until it ends lol

I feel very hot even when im in air cond room.. my mom set temperature to 26 degree C.. yet she and my CL feels so cold whenever they enter my room.. they always keep asking me to wear extra cus they say my room so cold.. but im sweating everyday !! im wondering if it's due to the heaty foods i consume every meal everyday ?

and also, i have a question mark in my head for days already.. After my confinement im moving to Singapore with Bb and my bf, so we definitely need to go out buy rations and home supplies and furnitures. Im thinking if it's OK i bring my Bb out to shops and public places ? She is just going into 1 month old on 25 Oct this month.. and if I bring her out, I carry her in sling ? she's very small to be in the sit-up sling though.. so Im still wondering.

mommies here, what and how do u carry ur baby around when u go out ? in ur arms like the position during feeding ? in baby slings ?

Im selling sugar glider accessories and nutritional products.. A few pointers that clearly stated my trading intention and products:

OK this is the story.

One day, I received a pm from a fella in LYN asking me about stuff I sell. He wanted a pouch and enquire about the 2nd company's products. So i said OK. You want a pouch? I reserve one for u since you wanted to COD. So we exchanged numbers, and he called me. He asked me : "The products from the 2nd company (Exotic Nutrition) are for animal consumption or for human one?"

So i replied. For sugar gliders one.

So i packed the pouch already, waiting for the day to meet him and COD. I am pregnant, at my 9th month now, next week gonna give birth already. I thought nvm, since u wanna buy from me i just meet you loh, although I dont earn alot but I still meet you lah.. So, I took a cab from hospital after my checkup to our meeting place (from bukit bintang to PJ) as I couldnt drive anymore due to pregnant.

So i met him, we sat down, and we started talking.

I said : This is the pouch you want. Big hor ? RM23.
He said : Got discount ? RM20.
I said : No discount bro, sorry.
He said : Oh.. is this new one ?
I said : Yes bro. U see still in wrapper ????

After a while...

I said : U got sugar glider ah ?
He said : No. I have no sugar glider.
I said : Oh so u wanna get this to prepare for your new glider isit ?
He said : Actually I wanted to buy this for my water tumbler to make it warm, or for many purposes, or just as a pouch.

Actually, I was speechless after that..

I said : Then when you want it just let me know lah yah.. You working ah ? How old r u ?
He said : Accounting. Im going for my A-Levels. Im 20 years old. But my maths not good. Do you give tuition ah ?

We continued to speak rubbish after that.

Then I went home.

Time wasted = 30 minutes
Money wasted = RM16 naik teksi

Hi all, anyone here face this kind of situation?

My OBGYN always postpone my checkup dates.. got once even delayed for 2 months!

Isit a trend nowadays among OBGYNs?

This is from UMSC... Before I changed to UMSC i made appoinments with SDMC OBGYN.. also kept calling say the coming checkup date has to postpone to when and when.. then when and when postponed again.. reason for SDMC : doc got emergency today, delay again..

Emergency I understand.. but UMSC one reason very stupid : doc today went to seminar, on leave.. postpone to date A. Then when near date A, call again, say doc hasnt come back.. on leave again.. postpone to date B ... then call again say postpone again.. got a time postponed for 2 months ++

I always wanna tell doc, i pain here and there, but always no chance cus she postponed again \

End up i had to tahan with question marks in my head, what happened to me that caused me pain here pain there.. are they normal etc etc..

Anyone can give me some clue ? Is my OBGYN plain lazy or what ?

Now im 8 months+ already.. sommore i got history of preterm.. I really need to see her.. today supposed to go UMSC checkup.. this morning call again and postpone to wednesday again.. if wed call again will postpone to next Monday (the OBGYN only Mon and Wed do consultation)... last checkup was 3rd July.. now already mid Aug.. APA NI ????

Luckily Im not working in the office for any boss.. imagine if im working for a boss/company and kept telling my boss that "Today my maternity checkup delayed again cuz hospital just called this morning so Im applying leave again when and when" and when and when repeat the same thing cuz hospital call in the morning to delay again and I have to apply leave again.. walao.. I jialat loh like that ? Kena fired also possible ??

Miscarriage

Hi all!

As you all know, miscarriage is a risk, and it's very sad once happened. I believe all mommies-to-be do not want this to happen as it's very traumatic and can haunt a mom for the rest of her life.

Just want to know, if a woman gone thru a miscarriage before, what is the chance of the same incident (miscarriage/preterm labour) to happen again on her next pregnancy a year after ?

Any moms here experience a miscarriage before but her pregnancy(ies) after that was/were as expected (EDD) ?

Would like to know because I had a miscarriage last year, and certainly hope this year's princess can be delivered safely and on time as scheduled/expected.. have not prepared anything yet..

Food Poisoning

What did you do to soothe the experience ?

Normally if see doctor, they give you charcoal but during pregnancy I dont think it's a good idea yea ?

How will you prefer to give birth?

Saw somewhere on the internet there are hospitals which can let the pregnant mom give birth 'walking' forgot if it's one of the KL private hospitals or Singapore... If i remembered correctly, it's Gleneagles in KL

Last year I had a miscarriage actually, and I was standing when my baby came out.. it still played in my mind.. seems very 'easy' very fast, cus I pushed a bit by a bit only... the baby came out in less than 20 minutes! Thanks to gravity ?

So normally we hear is lying down while giving birth.

Now we have water birth.

This question may make you feel wierd, but if you are given a chance by the gynae, or if you can sort of request, would you like to give birth the traditional way (lying down and push very hard) ? or ways like the above-mentioned?

I wondered whats the impact on our body on different types of labour methods? Say, structure of our uterus, or our inner organs if we give birth in certain ways/positions..

Any opinions mommies?

2 Syrian Hamsters 'tearing' 1 Syrian Hamster

Just now I went to Tropicana City Mall and went to see the hamsters at Petsmore. Guess what I saw..

Before I went to have my dinner, I saw in the Syrian hamsters tank, there were like 20 over Syrians sleeping soundly and all snuggled together... I was like oh so cute all these Syrians, some more got my favourite black and white duo color one.. I proceed to dinner.

After dinner, I planned to go see them again. OMG I saw 3 Syrians among the 20 over Syrians... 2 of them were bullying the 3rd one (1 on its left and 1 on its right), and the 3rd one which was the victim was like, its fur all gone, and bloody on the whole body.. had a feeling its like the 2 'tear' off the skin of the victim hamster!!

OMG I really couldnt bear to continue seeing them like that as Im pregnant and it's very very scary sight..

I turned my head, and then saw the Petsmore staff 'only realised' the fighting.. I was really speechless because the staff was there checking out the rabbits even before I reached the shop!

Sigh.. I feel so sad for the victim.. the scene is still playing in my mind until now..

What should/can I do ? complain to Petsmore or any suggestion?

Pregnancy Bras

Hello all mommies, need your input here..

Just want to know, are maternity bras and nursing bras actually the same ?

Do you know where got sell maternity bras ? I know maternity shops, yet the ones I saw (from one maternity shop in Midvalley) looks like 'auntie bra'... if wear cocktail dress, uh oh.. i dont think they look good.. So if you all attend an important function/dinner and plan to wear a nice dress, will you couple your dresses with a maternity bra?

Actually what's the difference between maternity bras and normal bras ?

Perhaps many mommies out there do not have much idea about this yeah ? May we all learn from each other

Complication during pregnancy

Been having some pains here and there on my body during this pregnancy.. Im currently at my 6th month pregnancy, and during my first trimester, i faced not much aches... Just nausea and tired..

I dont know if this is common among moms out there, but I found that I been suffering from a very hot stomach since like last month.. It's not that my stomach's temperature is high, cuz when I touch it it's normal body temperature (sometimes cool).. but the burning sensation is there.. it's like applied chili powder on the tummy..

Now still have, but I applied the Avene Eau Thermale water spray on it whenever I feel the sensation, and it helps but just for like a few seconds..

Besides the sensation on my tummy, somewhere just below my right ribs, Im having pain, it's like someone punched me in there... At times it also feels like the skin and muscles at that area stretched... it's kinda painful

Then it's my back... Not sure what's the right term but it's somewhere near my pelvis.. so painful..

Bras can be responsible for backpain ? Sometimes I dont even feel like wearing any bra go out, cuz the minute I wear bra I feel my back and waist super painful already... many times I just feel like staying at home cuz I dont need a bra at home..

It's really killing me everyday.. any pregnant moms and experienced moms here can help out?
I didnt feel it last year when I had my first pregnancy, last year was just fine for me...

Dilemma... I have no one to talk to

Im currently having a dilemma..

Firstly, im not married, not even engaged. but I have a BF who I stay with for up to 3 years already. We had been sticking to each other for these few years.

Secondly.. im actually pregnant for 6 months plus, and going to due in late Sept/early Oct.

The dilemma im facing now is will my bf really marry me ? He promised he will, but now i dont feel like it anymore.. can say im sick of waiting. There has been a question which kept playing in my mind.. when he found out that im pregnant, why didnt he register with me asap ? I know this kind of thought is kind of wearoff in the modern society, but to me social status is still important. From everyone around me, every friends and relatives, everyone goes for their ROM without a big tummy. Now my tummy is very big as im already 6 months plus, i even have to consider wearing maternity dresses to my ROM (if it happens).

The question is, why didnt he suggest when my tummy is still small ? Is ROM very expensive ? It's just a procedure rite ? Is it very difficult ?

I had a miscarriage last year, and shouldnt he already learnt the mistake ? I had..

Im a girl, I already forgo the idea of a romantic proposal due to I have no choice but to accept the fact that Im pregnant and I dont have any rights to ask for much. All I want is security, is that too much Im asking for ? Do you all think im complaining too much ?

He promised me that our ROM will be on 30 June, which is 2 weeks later, but currently, I dont see any preparation at all. Is he really fulfilling his promises ? About rings, I havent seen any ring so far, and I thought rings are the most important thing in a ROM ? Honestly, I had been waiting and waiting since the day I found out Im pregnant, I never see any proposal, nor ring, not even any hints. I even thought since we are facing some minor financial problems, we might as well get the cheap cheap stall rings sold in shopping malls, I think 1 for RM30-40 like that ? I never ask for expensive things, just essential things, and I suggested to him but he just delayed and delayed the idea of going to check out the rings.. end up, I threw a mad tantrum, i took it as he will never get the rings, how to do a ROM ? And end of the day, he told me "I already ordered rings from Pandora, why did you have to behave like that???" He said he was supposed to give me a surprise.

So, is this my fault ? I didnt know anything at all ! From 30 June, its so close already, cant he just give me a subtle hint that he already actually prepared something ? Is this so hard ?

After so many arguements, once in like two three days, I can say Im fedup... Im fedup of asking.. Im fedup of waiting... Im fedup of wondering.. when he isnt even communicating.. I dont know if im overreacting, many times I asked myself, I know this marriage is about us both, but i feel like im the only one worrying when he doesnt even want to open up his mind and heart.. Its too mentally and emotionally taxing for me, and I really wish to give up.. A few times, I lost my mind, I walked out of the house and wandered to places I wasnt really familiar of.. A few times, I went to the clinic, and almost did an abortion. I know I was about to kill my own baby and it's so wrong, but I really couldnt control my emotions and actions.. I need help, but I dont know who I can seek help from. I really cannot feel the 'glow' of pregnancy, why I see other friends who are pregnant so happy, yet I feel im just deep down in the darkest valley ? Many times I just felt like dying, and I felt like if I dont die I would just live like a corpse until the day I die... I tried to talk to my bf, tried to open up to him, telling him how I felt.. but to me, he just took me as Im just being emotional, throwing tantrums, and just ignored how I felt, becuz the next day when I havent recovered from teary eyes, he would just ask me : What's wrong ?

Am I crazy ? Should I go on with the ROM ?
