Neighbor extension

I can't believe I'm saddle with such a mess. We live in Shah Alam and neighbor had been renovating since end of July. I don't mind the dust and noise, I even went to stay with my mum because I have small children. But last month, I realized my neighbor is extending until blocking my entire left view. I lodge a complaint to MBSA and they issue stop work order, but the contractor only stop for 2 weeks and now they continue building again. Anyone have experience with such issue and how will it be resolved? Will they just have to pay hefty fine and things will resolved? I'm hoping it will be demolished.
I don't think I can' even sell my house at a good price of I have such a neighbor. And now I can't even park my car inside my house. When we call up the owner to discuss, we even got scolded and threatened. He said he will report on our kitchen extension. We bought the house fully renovated 6 years ago and now I have such a big headache to face.

Flying with Car Seat

I'm travelling with my infant and toddler via Malaysia Airline and will need to bring a long 2 car seats. I don't want to check in as luggage as I'm afraid of the condition after the handling. May I know does anyone here have any experience with bringing car seat on board as hand carry?

Buying my 1st landed house

hi all,

we're planning to buy our 1st double storey terrace house

our budget is below 450k....and we are working in PJ.

so far, the location that meets our budget and within 20km from our workplace are below

all are between 400-430k, and move-in condition

1. Puncak Jalil (leashehold) -

2. TTDI Jaya (freehold) - any1 staying there still experience flood?

3. Kota Kemuning (freehold)

hope any1 owning property there can shed some lights to me, location wise, surrounding community, safety etc....

Yamaha digital piano

I've decided to buy a digital piano instead or 'piano', mostly because of space problem. i wanted something compact, but my electronic keyboard keys and sounds doesn't give me the satisfaction.

When i went searching around for YAMAHA digital piano, there are so many different variety from 2k to 5k. I wonder what's the big difference. I don't actually use those special features available as i only like the sound of piano, not bass or strings n etc....

Any advise?

I doesn't want to buy a 5k digital piano end up wasting all the features because i'm not utilizing it. And also not buying a 2k one and then regret about it also... Totally in dilemma.

Two months into the workforce, I'm planning to buy myself a car in 2 months time. Basically I'm not that desperate in need of car because usually my dad is my private driver and i make use of public transport. So getting a car is to reward myself for all the hard work and to get more freedom and working your ass off is about buying car and house, right?

Do you think now is a good time to buy a car since the interest rate had increase? will it drop later?

I've looked around and found out that Persona looks charming and within my budget. And now I was wondering to get new or used Persona.
I've read through this forum and ppl mentioned used car will have higher interest rate, need inspection and etc etc.....but is more than 10k cheaper than the new one. Is used car really worth its value? I planned to get 7 yrs loan and acquired a 2 or 3 yrs old car.

As a freshie, i still don't quite know which field will suits me better. but i wants to get a general opinion from experience forumer here. which do you think had better career prospect? technical area or non-tech?

for example, i'm a science student, i have senior who are into research or manufacturing while others doing sales on medical product, medical underwriter for insurance company n etc.

if you happened to get into non-tech field, is it possible to switch back to tech and vice versa?

which field will make you more financially secure or obtain a stable career?

I've just receive a call from CIMB Investment today, just after 2 days i emailed my resume. I'm asked to attend to interview on monday.

Do anyone have any experience undergoing this programme?

How long do i need to wait for them to confirm me for the job? Because I feels bad declining other job offer that come during the waiting period. in fact on monday, i have another interview in the afternoon.

How's their pay? and what kind of test or interview do they hv?
izit tought? coz i'm from science background. I don't mind long working hours, but really hate doing sales. what's their job like?

and my 'semi-educated' dad claimed that milk from the box that had long shelf life are highly contaminated with artificial preservation.....i wonder if that;s true..

n d main prob is....most milk box label do not reveal much information...

My sister wish to enrol for A-Level (Science) in Stamford College...

1st becoz it had full scholarship for her...

2nd, very convenient for us, becoz is near to our house...v can save alot of petrol

3rd, since is juz a A-Level, we assume most college had an average standard..

so, any seniors around who had bad comment about this college??
